Position Outline

The Distribution Technician will be assigned onsite at client location in Freeport, Texas.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs necessary work and tasks in inspecting, loading, and unloading tank wagons and rail cars; and performs necessary work and tasks to unload, fill, and load drums. 40% time
- Maintains current, detailed knowledge and understanding of all shipping equipment, chemicals that are loaded or unloaded, and contents of Shipping Procedures. 35% time
- Maintains and records all inventory changes and performs all necessary work and tasks for the blending of products. 10% time
- Records all loading and other necessary data and input information into the appropriate computer systems. 5% time
- Monitors safe handling, identification, storage, and removal of hazardous waste streams resulting from loading and production activities. 5% time
- Completes compliance and operating checklists and participates in the site’s efforts at pollution prevention and continuous improvement. 5% time
- Monitors efforts in the site to ensure compliance with all elements of Process Safety Management and the client Product Stewardship Initiatives. 5% time
- Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
- Work collaboratively with client and Taurus team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
- Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by client distribution lead tech.
- Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by client and Taurus company.

Warehouse material handlers' essential duties are to perform various tasks in the warehouse, such as but not limited to:
Inbound: Unload trucks, trailers, and freight containers; count products; and compare products to the manifest to check all shipments for damage, infestation, or production code dates. Material handlers must report shortages, damages, and misshipments on the appropriate forms. They must also be able to sign for inbound shipments when necessary. All inbound shipments are moved safely to storage locations to be efficiently stacked as store merchandise.
Order Picking: Ensure that the correct product number, quantity, and type (lot, batch, serial number) are picked. Inventory: Keep accurate records and reports. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure proper stock rotation. May key inventory adjustments in the computer.
Other Duties: Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions. Repair and consolidate damaged goods as required. Operate a shrink-wrap machine. Charge the forklift battery as needed; stack and separate good from bad pallets when necessary; clean railcars, trailers, truck docks, and bays as requested.

Overview
The Maintenance Technician is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity of the property. This involves ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will assume all maintenance responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- The Maintenance Technician will conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations (such as Lead Based Paint, ADA, Fair Housing, HAZCOM Program, OSHA, etc.).
- Must be knowledgeable of all pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Must be aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition.
- Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and the Property Manager. Inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition.
- Must be aware of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer clean-outs.
- Perform work area clean-up and safety related duties.
- Ensure that storage areas remain locked when not in use.
- Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following on a daily basis:
