  • Work closely with project leadership, safety team members, and General Contractor staff to maintain high levels of quality work performed safely
  • Conduct field safety audits of Buesing project sites and provide relevant feedback to appropriate personnel
  • Attend select Toolbox Talks, stand downs, and safety celebrationsΒ 
  • Provide replacement PPE and necessary safety equipment to field operations
  • Assist with incident investigations and subsequent reports
  • Properly maintain assigned equipment, including company vehicle, electronic media, and PPE
  • Facilitate drug and alcohol testing when deemed appropriate by managementΒ 
  • Assist with post employee injury related matters, including facilitating clinic visits, employee transportation, and follow up appointmentsΒ

Pay Range

$105,800.00-$145,500.00 Annual

Structure:

The Willows HR Manager is located within the Insulation System Division and reports to the Insulation Systems Human Resources Director and has generally has responsibility for approximately 300 employees.

The Senior HR Manager is a member of the Willows plant management team, providing functional expertise and perspective to the Plant Manager and various department managers. In this capacity the Senior HR Manager is a β€œdotted line” report to the Plant Manager.

The nature of this role requires that you adjust work hours when needed, respond to high priority calls or requests after regular hours, and travel up to 10% of the time.

Your Day to Day:

  • Initiates strategies to create a robust workforce plan that addresses current and future organizational needs, including workforce size and structure.
  • Facilitate annual HR processes including compensation planning, open enrollment, succession planning, affirmative action plan development and others as required
  • Coaches managers in understanding employee issues and concerns and underlying causes, promotes direct lines of communications between employees and management
  • Conducts thorough investigations and develops solutions to complex employee issues and concerns

In this role you will lead teams conducting technical work for feasibility studies, engineering designs, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, and carrying out onsite visits for rehabilitation and upgrades to dams, hydroelectric facilities and new hydroelectric developments. You will participate in design and play a large role in mentoring the team. You will be working in a collaborative environment with a great team of engineers and scientists, and you will also interface directly with clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide input to those managing and executing multiple projects from the proposal stage through to completion. Projects will include a variety of small to large projects.
  • Establish and facilitate connections with other departments to support and enhance service delivery.

About You

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. A post graduate degree would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering with demonstrated project management skills (tracking budgets and meeting schedules).
  • Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in California, Oregon, or Washington, as well as eligible for registration as a professional engineer in other states by comity through NCEES.
  • Demonstrated leadership of electrical design projects in the industrial power generation field, with experience managing and mentoring younger staff.
  • Previous consulting experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Client interaction: must be able to effectively assume a lead role as project engineer at project meetings and communicate project and technical information.
  • Demonstrated experience in site investigations, condition assessments, design and construction support are preferred.
  • Experience with station service distribution (all voltages), medium voltage equipment, fixed bus power distribution systems, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) automation (for equipment control), generators and transformers including related monitoring systems, communication systems, system grounding, hoists and gate automation, and balance of plant systems for hydroelectric stations preferred, but industrial experience will be considered.
  • Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
  • Backup power systems (including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Direct Current systems and fuel fired backup)
  • Lighting (including emergency and exit lighting systems)
  • Fiber and copper structured cable systems, and associated networking equipment
  • Distributed Control System (DCS) and PLC Automation, Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) integration (including any programming experience)
  • Protection systems experience, including specifying, setting and verifying (include reference to voltages)
  • Load flow analysis, system modelling, arc-flash, grounding, and other electrical studies (include reference to software used and any training)
  • North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)/Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) planning

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee a $34 million project renovating four historic bathhouses on Bathhouse Row at Hot Springs National Park.

As the lead Superintendent, you will be responsible for:


PRE-CONSTRUCTION

  • Conducts regular pre-construction/safety meetings with Project Manager and project staff.
  • Assists with development project submittals such as site plans, Accident Prevention Plan, and Quality Control Plan.
  • Works with General Superintendent to setup the project site with necessary offices, fencing, and other sitework.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Works with Project Manager to build project schedule and updates throughout project.
  • Track production with subcontractors and self-perform staff & enforce recovery when project schedule is not met.
