The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Penn State Health seeks a Surgeon-Scientist, Vice Chair of Research. The selected candidate will be an independent clinician scientist with active research interests, technical expertise and past track record of extramural funding.
Responsibilities will include running an independent research program and clinical practice, mentoring faculty and trainee researchers, helping to develop collaborative programs within the Department and Institution, and growing the Department's research and grant portfolio. Education & Training
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited dermatology residency program.
Licensure & Certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology (American Board of Dermatology or equivalent).
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Current DEA registration.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-residency dermatology experience preferred; new graduates with strong training will be considered.
- Experience in medical, surgical, and/or cosmetic dermatology (flexibility based on practice needs and candidate’s interests).
- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort working in a fast-paced private practice environment.

Join our practice of ophthalmologist performing high-tech surgical eye procedures often found in larger hospitals, including laser eye surgery, eyelid plastic surgery, tear duct surgery and cataract implant surgery for both adults and children. Alliant Dermatology has board certified Dermatologists and Mohs Surgeons, Physician Assistants and Aestheticians working together to provide high quality care for our patients every day. Our 3 offices are located within an hour’s drive from Orlando and Tampa, and 1.5 hours from either coast; and will qualify your children for the outstanding A-rated Villages Charter School. PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY:
We have an opening available for a full time Dermatologist 4 or 4.5 days per week.
