About this opportunity


The Community Relations & Development (CRD) Director (Territorial) directly supports the Secretary for Business Administration in the management of the Community Relations and Development Department and is responsible for leading and managing a staff of fundraising/development, marketing and public relations professionals in providing comprehensive resources and services for the benefit of the Divisions, field units, and the Southern Territory as a whole. The Director is also responsible for establishing and meeting operating budgets, developing sound organizational and fundraising policies, and maintaining strong relationships with divisional CRD professionals, officer leadership, donors, volunteers, agencies, vendors, and the general public.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs the work of the Community Relations & Development Department of functional leaders and staff; recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate personnel; establish annual goals, key metrics, and accountability systems.
  • Leads, evaluates, and oversees the Resource Development and Planned Giving Programs, strategy and governance led by the Assistant Community Relations & Development Secretary/Territorial Development Director and Territorial Planned Giving Director.
  • Leads, evaluates, and oversees the Territorial Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) strategy and governance in partnership with IT, Finance, and divisions; ensure timely, accurate donor and gift data, analytics, and portfolio management; champion data-informed decision making.
  • Develops the annual budget and administers the affairs of his/her office within the approved budget. Where nonbudgeted expenditures are proposed, process such requests in the same manner as the original budget.


Southern Territory Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Provides visionary leadership for territorial-wide development, marketing, and public relations strategies that are donor-centric and outcomes-driven.
  • Leads, evaluates and oversees comprehensive development strategies across the Southern Territory, including direct response/direct marketing, digital fundraising, major gifts, planned giving, corporate/foundation relations, events, and Red Kettle initiatives.
  • Supports United Way strategies and applications in collaboration with divisions and local units to improve relationships and outcomes.


Leadership Responsibilities outside of The Salvation Army:

  • Evaluates, leads and strengthens Advisory Organizations (Boards, Councils, Committees), including promotion of the Advisory Organizations School of Excellence (AOSOE) model and compliance with National Standards of Excellence and the Manual of Procedure.
  • Leads, evaluates and oversees effective gift processing and data flows with contracted partners to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliant acknowledgments; coordinate caging/lockbox and white-mail processing according to territorial policy.
  • Evaluates and guides the capital campaign lifecycle (mission planning studies with Program, strategic planning, feasibility studies, and campaign execution); maintains approved firm lists; provides quarterly reporting to leadership bodies as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, non-profit management, communications, or related field is required with an advanced degree highly desirable And fifteen (15) years' progressive experience in increasingly responsible and successful fundraising and marketing roles with at least 7 years in executive-level management.
  • Experience leading integrated development functions: direct response/digital, major gifts, planned giving, corporate/foundation relations, capital campaigns, board development, public relations, and brand/communications. Demonstrated experience and ability to work across multiple entities and focus areas simultaneously in a complex, faith-based nonprofit organization.

Job Description

THE POSITION:

Medical Information is a critically important customer-facing function that supports the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical company products by providing timely, scientifically balanced, evidence based, nonpromotional information in response to unsolicited requests from healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and payers. Medical Information also plays an important role in post-marketing handling of adverse events and product complaints. As part of the Medical Information Contact Center (MICC) team, this position ensures client success by providing oversight of assigned clients, including implementation, ongoing management, regular touchpoints and meetings. This position understands client needs, and ensures deliverables meet expectations, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

CLIENT MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure client success by providing oversight of assigned clients, including implementation, ongoing management, regular touchpoints and meetings.

MEDICAL INFORMATION SUPPORT

  • Triage and respond to medical information inquiries from physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other health care professionals, consumers, and payers. Utilize medical information skills to identify, research, and critically evaluate medical literature to create responses to medical information inquiries.
  • Utilize writing skills for adverse event and product complaint narrative during intake as well as medical inquiry custom responses.
  • Handle requests across multiple channels and platforms (phone, email, CRM, chat, etc.)
  • Identify adverse events and product complaints during interactions with customers. Perform intake sufficient to generate adverse event and product complaint reports in compliance with EVERSANA-MICC and client standard operating procedures. Knowledge of FDA’s postmarketing adverse event reporting regulations and safety terminology. Ability to make accurate assessments regarding what information needs to be obtained and level or depth of information to be collected.
  • Coordinate processes necessary for responding to product quality-related complaints. This process may involve interactions with personnel in the following departments: Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and the complainant.
  • Maintain product, therapeutic area, and client specific requirements knowledge.
  • Ensure good documentation, high quality, and excellent customer service.
  • Medical writing and Medical Information content development. Provide medical writing to assist in drafting of Medical Information response documents [FAQs, Scientific Response Documents (SRDs), Custom Response Documents (CRDs)] and/or work collaboratively with medical writing team to develop these materials.  Staffing at scientific medical affairs booths.
  • On-call responsibilities on an as assigned basis.

Miscellaneous projects such as market and competitive product research, operational and process improvements, field team training and field liaison support.  All other duties as assigned.

Develop and validate CNC programs – Create, edit, and verify CNC programs while configuring complex fixturing for CNC and manual machines to meet production requirements. Configure machine parameters to specification – Set machine origins, work offsets, and tool lengths in accordance with technical specifications to ensure accurate production runs. Execute work to technical specifications – Perform machining operations according to blueprints, material specifications, method sheets, and written work instructions to deliver quality components. Machine components to required tolerances – Produce parts meeting exact dimensional specifications, including squareness, concentricity, parallelism, and surface finish requirements. Collaborate with Engineering on production optimization – Work with Engineering on custom projects and process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and capability. Prepare and validate machine setups – Select, configure, and load tooling; perform first-piece inspections and validate setup accuracy prior to production runs. Perform quality inspections– Conduct in-process and final inspections of components using precision measurement instruments including micrometers and calipers to verify conformance to specifications. Provide technical guidance to production staff – Train and support fellow machinists on setup procedures, best practices, and job-specific requirements. Maintain equipment reliability – Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot CNC equipment issues to ensure consistent production capability. Document production activities – Record labor transactions and complete required production and quality documentation using company computer systems.
