QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:


  • High School Diploma
  • Clean driving records a must
  • Safe operation of department equipment
  • Elementary fix/repair techniques based on directed supervision
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn basic AC/DC theory, electronic components, and electronic circuitry
  • Complete training on:
  • Use of Digital multimeter for AC and DC diagnostic measurements
  • Use of Amp Clamp and flexible CT in DC and AC measures
  • Use of AlberCellcorderfor use as a battery testing and maintenance tool for a multitude of various battery designs and chemistries
  • Show understanding of proper use of:
  • Isolation devices to control available voltage potentials.
  • Necessary use of Arc-Flash suit and PPE.
  • Show competency in the connections of series, parallel, and series-parallel battery strings.
  • Understand torque values, torque-mark application, and visual inspection of completed battery cabinet installations.


Computer Skills:


  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel.

The Electrical Commissioning Agent II lead with supervision at times and executes commissioning of data center critical systems including generators, switchgears, UPSs, PDUs and various other equipment. The Data Center Commissioning Engineer is critical in the company's continued success and growth by ensuring that testing has been executed and the client's data centers operate at maximum operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assist with managing projects, plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering Commissioning role for large facility projects.
  • The commissioning experts adhere to a thorough quality management/QC process and procedures.
  • Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings which services include: Equipment pre-start-up and start-up procedures; Development of standard operating procedures (SOP's) and Methods of Procedures (MOPs); Comprehensive Commissioning documentation.
  • Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports with limited supervision as needed; Develop and maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklist, and other tools to track commissioning projects; Write comprehensive reports which include the following sections: recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, list of deficiencies, equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.
  • Integrated system testing; Load Bank Testing; Compilation of all testing procedure results.
  • Develop and administer functional tests for various systems, such as: electrical distribution systems, UPS, standby generators, etc.
  • System Assembly; Commission plan preparation; Follow company QC process and procedures.
  • Help lead and manage any external resources; Schedule and direct periodic commissioning meetings; Attend construction and coordination meetings if required for the project.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors and owners' agents as needed; Execute project assignments; Interface with project contractors, vendors, and testing technicians; Interact with all facets of the company: engineering, design, etc.


Verify results of test reports; Assist with field troubleshooting of commissioned equipment as needed; Field experience in the operation and application of Power Quality Analyzers, Power Disturbance Analyzers, Data loggers, and related system testing equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:


  • 3-5 years' experience in the Engineering Field
  • A/E experience working in complex facilities or mission critical projects a big plus
  • Previous Data Center / Mission Critical experience is preferred
  • Electrical equipment testing experience in a Critical Facilities / facility environment
  • Experience with IEEE/ASHRAE procedures and protocols a plus
  • Possess basic knowledge of systems design for various projects
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (this role requires heavy amount of writing, documentation, and client interaction)
  • Up to 75% travel
  • Must be a US Citizen


Education:


  • Bachelor's / Associates Degree in engineering a plus or comparable experience

TITLE: SR. MEP MANAGER, ELECTRTICAL

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. MEP Manager will lead efforts coordinating the trades on major construction projects and work with the Project Team to ensure successful installation and completion of all MEP trade work.

  • Assist with scheduling MEP installation activities.
  • Review, inspect, and provide oversight of construction drawings during MEP installation
  • Work with Superintendent on project logistics and temporary facility plans
  • Review and comment on scope, material, and equipment for MEP systems prior to installation
  • Monitor the installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of project with Engineer & Owner
  • Inspect MEP installation during construction.
  • Review Coordination and Arc Flash studies
  • Review and provide field verification of torque and meggar reports provide by trades, and assure reports are submitted during final turnover.
  • Coordinate activities, materials procurement and other related activities with Project Superintendent and Field Staff
  • Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed (Procore)
  • Represent SE MCS regarding the MEP process at weekly Owners and contractors' meetings.
  • Mentor project staff, if applicable
  • Lead and direct the coordination process to resolve all conflicts during installations and start-up
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Schedule shifts may incl nights/weekends as per bell curve requirements
