Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Breast Imaging / Mammography Radiologists to support clinical services at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT; Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT.

Preferred Experience

• Breast Imaging Fellowship trained, board certified Radiologist.

• Proficiency in a full range of Breast imaging including full field digital mammography; Breast tomosynthesis; Breast ultrasound and MRI screening and diagnostic mammography; and stereotactic and ultrasound image-guided breast interventions.
• Proficiency with PACS, Powerscribe, Magview and current radiology IT platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with referring clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
• Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives or radiology practice development.
• Teaching experience or interest in working with residents/medical students.

Certification & Licensure

• Board certified or Board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
• Fellowship training in Breast Imaging
• Compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) federal requirements
• Valid medical license (or eligibility) in CT.
• Maintained credentialing in accordance with medical staff bylaws and regulatory requirements.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS optional depending on subspecialty)

Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Manager of Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals.
• You will identify the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department; taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers.

• You will provide feedback on staff mix, ensuring competency of staff through development and regular evaluation, and providing disciplinary counseling.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology.

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent managerial experience required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

Current A.R.R.T.

Current Texas State License mandatory.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of five years’ management experience in a Radiology Department.

Minimum of five years' management experience to include management of personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, physician relations and management of supervisory positions.

Job Summary:

Oversees the diagnostic imaging department, providing vision, leadership and administrative direction for staffing, strategic planning, budgeting, patient care and technology. Ensures compliance with hospital guidelines and regulatory agencies at all times. Exercises independent judgment when recruiting, training, coaching, supervising and responsibly directing assigned staff. Essential Functions:

• Supervises diagnostic imaging personnel, including recruiting, hiring, orientation, training and development, scheduling and regular performance evaluation. Ensures optimum levels of staffing in accordance with productivity targets. Responsible for clinical staff supervision.
• Actively collaborates with the leadership team involved with hospital strategic planning to support the department and overall organizational growth. Responsible for overall management and direction of imaging modalities within the radiology discipline. Directs and implements management strategies for the provision of Radiological and Diagnostic Imaging Services, such as nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, CT, ultrasound and mammography. Responsible for clinical staff supervision.
• Develops, implements and oversees department salary, operation and capital budgets. Works collaboratively with all internal and external customers, physicians, patients, and hospital departments to ensure customer satisfaction. Utilizes experience, judgment and current practice standards to develop and accomplish goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory and certifying standards.
• Routinely monitors patient satisfaction. Ensures that patient care and imaging services meet safety and risk management standards in addition to local, state and federal accreditation regulations. Confirms that patient records and files are maintained in adherence to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Oversees radiology IT systems, ensures proper maintenance and functioning of all radiology equipment and confirms that the department is in compliance with radiation safety practices and regulations. Develops, communicates and monitors department policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Summary:

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and will help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The CT Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The CT Technologist will adhere to and maintain expected imaging competencies as management outlines.   does appropriate follow-up.

• 1 year of CT experience in a Hospital or Clinical setting preferred
• Basic computer experience required
