What you will bring

The Maintenance Planner performs the following functions:

- Prioritizes any safety concerns and ensures safety protocols are followed in all situations.
- Acts as the liaison between Maintenance and all other departments in the facility.
- Develops and maintains open communications within area of responsibility and supported departments.
- Works to ensure close coordination between EHS, quality, operations, maintenance and engineering to ensure the right work is planned then scheduled to minimize future problems and unplanned downtime.
- Develops detailed Work Order job plans to “Ready to Schedule” status, providing all of the information, kitted parts, tools and methods to support efficient execution of work.
- Works closely with the craftspeople in the development of job plans.
- Conducts planning meetings as needed to ensure the Job Plan meets the customer’s needs.
- Develops a weekly schedule of planned maintenance work.
- Leads a weekly scheduling meeting to achieve agreement and alignment on the upcoming week’s scheduled work, including equipment availability for maintenance activities.
- Develops outage and down day scopes of work.
- Prepares and leads down day and outage planning and schedule review meetings.
- Manages the scheduling of all Preventive Maintenance Work Orders. (PM’s)
- Daily review of all Work Orders that were completed the last 24 hours.
- Daily management and review of all new Work Requests from the last 24 hours.
- Manages the Work Order Backlog, ensuring all Work Order status is up to date, keeping plant customers informed of status and priority.
- Adheres to the plant’s Work Management processes.
- Build and maintain a library of repeatable, detailed work Job Plans for future schedule repeatable work.

- BS in engineering or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Planning and scheduling experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance protocols is preferred.
- Full competency with MS Office and general computer operations

What you'll do...

  • Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling:
    • Lead the detailed development, coordination, and control of maintenance and project work packages to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution, particularly during facility ramp-up and ongoing operations.

    • Lead and coach teams in leveraging machine monitoring tools to identify and eliminate production constraints, driving continuous improvement (SQDCPME) initiatives.
    • Participate in MOS meetings to analyze equipment failures and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
  • Coordination & Data Management:
    • Coordinate multi-discipline work planning activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control (I&C), and facility workstreams.
    • Interface with engineering, operations, and other relevant teams to validate scope, field conditions, and ensure work readiness.
    • Ensure accurate data entry and status updates in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (e.g., Maximo, SAP) to support real-time schedule forecasting, outage coordination, and KPI reporting.

  • Compliance & Operational Support:
