Job Description:
Scope/Purpose of the Position
The Maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the production equipment by using quick in-depth troubleshooting and preventive maintenance while maintaining the highest safety, quality, GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Primary Duties:
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility-wide equipment to reduce downtime and increase reliability
- Troubleshoot and repair all facility and production equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Make necessary machinery and equipment adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Support start-ups, changeovers, daily operations, and shutdowns as needed
- Participate in installation and training on new machinery and equipment
- Utilize the CMMS to create, update, and complete work orders accurately
- Start machines and equipment to test proper operation following repairs
- Record preventive maintenance tasks and completed work orders in a timely manner
- Respond to all maintenance calls promptly and complete work orders as required
- Partner with other departments on root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve mechanical issues during production
- Identify and report additional preventive maintenance needs
- Track and report usage of spare parts; support inventory planning and restocking
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area; ensure proper care of tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA standards
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Assist in training production operators on equipment operation
- Read and interpret electrical schematics for equipment troubleshooting
Secondary Duties:
- Assist with maintaining maintenance logs and documentation archives
- Support improvements in maintenance SOPs and best practices
Collaboration:
- Work with Production, Quality, Sanitation, Inventory teams, and other departments to ensure reliable and efficient operation of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and vendors regarding equipment status, part needs, and repair timelines
- Work with external vendors and equipment manufacturers during maintenance interventions to support knowledge sharing and enhance internal troubleshooting capabilities
Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, GMP requirements, and company safety policies
- Maintain records as required for audits and inspections

The Maintenance Planner performs the following functions:
- Prioritizes any safety concerns and ensures safety protocols are followed in all situations.
- Acts as the liaison between Maintenance and all other departments in the facility.
- Develops and maintains open communications within area of responsibility and supported departments.
- Works to ensure close coordination between EHS, quality, operations, maintenance and engineering to ensure the right work is planned then scheduled to minimize future problems and unplanned downtime.
- Develops detailed Work Order job plans to “Ready to Schedule” status, providing all of the information, kitted parts, tools and methods to support efficient execution of work.
- Works closely with the craftspeople in the development of job plans.
- Conducts planning meetings as needed to ensure the Job Plan meets the customer’s needs.
- Develops a weekly schedule of planned maintenance work.
- Leads a weekly scheduling meeting to achieve agreement and alignment on the upcoming week’s scheduled work, including equipment availability for maintenance activities.

- Daily review of all Work Orders that were completed the last 24 hours.
- Daily management and review of all new Work Requests from the last 24 hours.
- Manages the Work Order Backlog, ensuring all Work Order status is up to date, keeping plant customers informed of status and priority.
- Adheres to the plant’s Work Management processes.
- Build and maintain a library of repeatable, detailed work Job Plans for future schedule repeatable work.
- BS in engineering or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Planning and scheduling experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance protocols is preferred.
- Full competency with MS Office and general computer operations
- Must have 2+ years’ engineering experience supervising in an industrial manufacturing environment. Must understand intricacies of unique production equipment and use this knowledge to enhance operational metrics.

- Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling:

- Compliance & Operational Support:

About the Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and other building systems in accordance with standard operating procedures, manufacturer specifications, and safety policies. Position Summary
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for organizing and coordinating all maintenance and repair activities to improve equipment reliability and operational performance. This role develops and manages work orders, aligns scheduling with site leadership, and ensures all resources—including parts, labor, and tools—are available to support planned maintenance, outages, and project work. The position works under the guidance of senior operations leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and scheduling of maintenance and troubleshooting activities in coordination with site operations teams.
- Partner with operations personnel to ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed effectively and on schedule.
- Collaborate with maintenance leadership to define scope, resources, and timelines for major maintenance efforts, contracted services, and capital projects.
- Coordinate with procurement, inventory, and administrative teams to ensure timely acquisition and availability of required materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking usage and supporting routine cycle counts for warehouse materials.
- Promote and enforce all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Support additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by site leadership.
Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience; relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
- Typically requires 6–8 years of related experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or industrial operations.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams effectively.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey instructions clearly.
- Working knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, databases).
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics, blueprints, and process diagrams.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to solve problems, interpret data, and make informed decisions.
- Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and applying algebraic and geometric concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Valid driver’s license required.
