What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:
- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans of patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders
- Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
- Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Adjunct Faculty instructors at Saint Xavier University are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as in-person, online, hybrid and/or blended formats, with a preference towards in-person instruction. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, departmental communication, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

- PhD in a Liberal Arts field with extensive experience teaching composition at the college level

Position description
The department of East Asian Languages & Cultures at the University of California, Berkeley, invites application for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach courses in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Tibetan, and general East Asian cultures (literature, thought, religion, cultural history, etc.) should the need arise during Fall 2025, Spring and Summer 2026.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): teaching, holding office hours, assigning grades, preparing course materials, maintaining a course website and compiling teaching materials and interacting with students via email, bCourses, and Zoom instructional software.
For those who are not US citizens or permanent residents, a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US visa that allows employment) is required by the start date of the position. The department is unable to provide a visa/work permit.

The team has access to instrumental swallow studies including VFSS/MBSS and a comprehensive FEES program, supporting timely evaluation and advanced dysphagia management. SLPs are integrated early across ICU and complex medical-surgical populations and participate in established clinical pathways including tracheostomy/ventilator management with in-line Passy-Muir Valve (PMV) and total laryngectomy care within the Head & Neck Cancer program. The department also supports innovative initiatives such as the Early Activity Program (early SLP involvement in the ICU), Animal-Assisted Therapy, and Respiratory Muscle Strength Training (RMST pending), alongside collaborative learning opportunities like Curious Case Club, where clinicians review complex patient cases and current literature.
Healthpark Medical Center: A high-acuity setting with early access to instrumental swallow studies seven days a week (VFSS/MBSS and FEES) supported by a comprehensive FEES training pathway. SLPs are integrated early within cardiothoracic surgery, cardiac, stroke, and both medical and surgical ICU populations. Established tracheostomy, ventilator, and total laryngectomy clinical pathways support advanced airway management. The team emphasizes strong interdisciplinary collaboration, mentorship, student supervision, and opportunities to contribute to system-developed continuing education initiatives (e.g., prior programming include memory and concussion).
Lee Memorial Hospital: Lee Memorial Hospital offers early access to VFSS/MBSS and FEES within a robust FEES training framework. SLPs are highly integrated within ICU populations and have the autonomy to initiate therapy orders when clinically indicated, supporting timely intervention. The campus serves complex surgical populations including ENT and neurosurgery, with early post-operative involvement (e.g., ACDF). LMH is supported by a highly skilled and collaborative SLP team with strong mentorship culture, opportunities for student supervision and clinician training, and opportunity for participation in system-wide continuing education development.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Master's degree in Chemistry ,Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field.
- Must have prior experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry, using analytical techniques including HPLC and GC as well as experience with Method Development and Validation of these techniques.
- Troubleshoots equipment
- Expertise in developing analytical methods for chromatographic, spectroscopic, titrimetric, and wet chemistry analyses.
- Strong understanding of routine laboratory operations.
- Strong knowledge of analytical method development strategies and specification setting for raw materials and finished products.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, including FTIR, HPLC, ICP, GC, UV-Vis, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, and HPTLC.
