Critical Care Float Pool RN at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. Position available are full-time and will work 12-hour Night shifts.

- The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is a vigorous and fast-paced 20-bed critical care unit focused on neuro and trauma care. The SICU team excels in managing patients with neurocritical conditions such as traumatic brain injuries (TBI), strokes, spinal cord injuries, and those recovering from complex surgeries and trauma.

- The Definitive Stepdown Unit (DSU) is a fast paced 15-bed critical care stepdown unit. The definitive stepdown unit treats all adult patients requiring close and frequent monitoring and specializes in CABG and TAVR patients.

Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Alton Memorial Hospital's Rehabilitation Services is called, 'The Human Motion Institute'. The Human Motion Institute's rehabilitation team includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapist Assistants and Occupational Therapists Assistants.

Role Purpose
Provides skilled physical therapy services to patients including all aspects of evaluation and treatment.

Responsibilities

* Establishes treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies.
* Educates, collaborates with, and conferences with patients, families, and other health care providers; making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed.
* Delegates to assistants, techs, and students through written and verbal communication including determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the needs of the patient.
* Completes documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
* Provides assessment, reassessment, and/or consultations for Physical Therapy Services.
