- E-prescribing prescriptions to pharmacies as directed
- Preparing patients for x-rays
- Taking electrocardiograms; removing sutures; changing dressings
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate supplies

Chronic care, Convalescent care, and monthly and annual reportsDetermine the type of equipment and supplies necessary to equip the jail first aid kits,the number, location and procedure for periodic inspection.Provide at least one doctor at the Jail five days a week for aminimum of three hours beginning at 8:30 a.m.
on each of these days for normalsick call and or as necessary to maintain medical accreditation standards.
A physiciansassistant may be utilized at times to fill in for vacation or sick time as agreed upon by the Sheriff or his designee.At the request of jail command staff or medical supervisor, an additional day of sickcall may be requested during periods of high population.Act as direct liaison between jail medical staff and an inmates primary carephysician and direct coordination of care.The medical supervisor shall attend all jail medical meetings.
Medical supervisorshall work on-site and shall present for any inspections related to medical servicesprovided in the Jail.

Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we are looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license.
Bachelors degree preferred but not required
Additional requirements include:
· Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
· ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
· One year of experience preferred (Telemetry or Cardiac)
