• Follow written instructions contained in Standard Operating Procedures, manufacturing orders, cleaning checklists and other controlled documents in accordance with cGMP regulations.
  
• Physically move bulk materials utilizing various forms of pallet jacks. 60; Basic material handling and departmental utility tasks may also be assigned. 60;
  
• Operate computer-controlled equipment utilizing a screen-based Operator Interface Terminal (OIT).
  
• Execute in-process attribute testing and visual inspections.

• Accurately, repeatedly, and contemporaneously documented GMP data on equipment logs, batch records and cleaning checklists.

The Packaging Supervisor guides one of our packaging teams in the execution of Impact

Beverage packaging processes. The Packaging Supervisor reports directly to the Packaging 

Manager. This position will have a strong commitment to quality, delivery, training, and

SOP creation and execution, and a high-level of mechanical proficiency required.

• Lead onboarding and training for new packaging team members

• Coordinate with QA/QC Department to ensure relevant packaging data is collected and 

protocols are followed; assist in implementation of new procedures as they are 

developed

• Contribute to packaging policy development, with the broader goal of making Impact a 

world-class manufacturing operation

• Work with the Packaging Manager to establish and standardize packaging procedures 

(S.O.P.s/standard of work)

• Lead training of Packaging Team according to S.O.P.s

• Hold team accountable for deviations from Standard of Work

• Communicate gaps in training and needs for training

• Coordinate with the Packaging Manager on the Production Schedule and on time 

delivery

• Lead packaging team in day-to-day operations, including performance of production 

work:

o Proper documentation of all packaging data in accordance with internal rules as 

well as compliance needs

o General packaging work: 

▪ Equipment Operation

▪ Material staging

o CIP Filler 

o General cleaning and sanitation

o Work with and report any mechanical issues to the Maintenance Team and 

Packaging Manager

▪ Be able to succinctly and effectively communicate concerns with 

equipment

▪ Be familiar and able to receive instructions via maintenance for 

adjustments and minor repairs on all packaging equipment

o Operate a forklift, scissor lift, manual/powered jacks, and walk behind lifts safely

o Perform other jobs in/outside of the department as needed

o Assist other Impact Beverage Colleagues as necessary

• Works with Packaging Manager to ensure that packaging team adheres to established 

safety/alcohol/food defense policies. Assists with updates and implementation to said 

policies as necessary

• Lead Packaging SQDIP, effectively communicate why metrics were missed and provide 

solution-based feedback from failures

• Coordination with packaging team and warehouse team on resource sharing/production 

transfers/raw materials ordering and receipt, ensuring that hand-offs are 

communicated/executed smoothly

• Evaluate proposed production schedule with Packaging Manager, identifying and 

communicating scheduling adjustments as necessary

Ensure that proper sanitation/cleanliness is maintained in the assigned Packaging Line 

as well as assigned facility areas

• Implement and enforce any food safety compliance rules in accordance with the 

compliance management

• Effective, constructive, and efficient coordination, communication, and collaboration 

with all members of the Impact Beverage Staff, especially members of the packaging 

department

• Cross-training/working in other areas of Impact Beverage as needed

• Working when and as needed to achieve production schedule goals

• Coordinate and communicate effective completion of WIP work throughout normal shift

• Ability to direct and delegate Packaging staff personnel and resources to effectively 

complete daily production schedule

• Conducting oneself in a professional manner when representing Impact Beverage, 

whether inside or outside of the facility.

• Direct and provide feedback for overnight team as relates to production operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or similar experience 

• Previous proven team leadership capabilities 

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience working cross functionally

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

• Operate inside confined spaces

• Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

• Possess the manual dexterity to operate hand tools

About the Role

• We are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Associate Packaging Manager to join our growing Packaging team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in execution, loves process, and understands how to move packaging programs from concept to vendor release with precision.
• You will own artwork workflow, packaging submissions, competitive benchmarking, and packaging library management across both New Product Development (NPD) and reorder programs. This is a highly cross-functional role partnering closely with Creative, Regulatory, Project Management, and external vendors.

What You’ll Do

Packaging Operations & Organization

• Manage competitive, benchmark, and project packaging libraries
• Maintain and organize project bins and packaging standards
• Manage product trays to ensure correct, current packaging options are reflected
• Oversee packaging submission intake, labeling, organization, and tracker updates
• Ensure all packaging materials are meeting-ready at all times

Artwork Process Ownership

• Own the artwork process from initiation through vendor release
• Maintain the Master Artwork Tracker, including component and CAD codes
• Route digital and hard copy proofs for review and approval
• Follow up on outstanding packaging-related regulatory requirements and approvals
• Collect final approvals and release artwork files to vendors
• Ensure proper file naming, version control, and storage of final files

Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination

• Brief Production Designer on NPD and reorder programs in collaboration with the Director of Packaging
• Support vendor communication related to artwork, sizing, and packaging execution
• Assist Regulatory and QC with packaging-related requests and testing samples

Competitive & Benchmarking Support

• Order and manage competitive packaging samples
• Maintain organized benchmark libraries
• Support competitive analyses for new and existing programs

What You Bring

• 2–4+ years of experience in packaging, artwork coordination, or production (beauty, CPG, or regulated consumer goods strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of packaging components, artwork workflows, and proof routing
• Experience working with dielines, technical drawings, and component codes
• Exceptional organizational and version-control skills
• Ability to manage both physical samples and digital file systems
• Experience using project management tools (Asana or similar) and Excel/Google Sheets
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow up proactively

The compensation range for this role is $72,000-$90,000 with a bonus target dependent on company and individual performance.

POSITION PURPOSE

As the Principal Packaging Engineer, you will serve as the enterprise-wide technical expert and strategic lead in FDA regulated packaging. The position leverage deep knowledge in packaging including but not limited to design, test methods, standards, and industry insights to create and deliver a pipeline of breakthrough innovations and overall organizational improvement.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, and lead with accountability projects from concept to commercialization. A proactive approach in identifying opportunity areas and a strong drive for results and overall organizational improvement is essential.

This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across functions, influence stakeholders and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Principal Engineer must take responsibility for technical mentorship and coaching, fostering technical growth and knowledge of junior engineers while strengthening the team’s technical capabilities. As a recognized expert, you will guide internal and external teams on the application of packaging standards (e.g., CCIT, ISO 11607, USP , USP , etc.), and represent the company in regulatory interactions, technical forums, and industry partnerships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Own the technical roadmap for packaging innovation and ensure alignment with business priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, or related scientific discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

• New Product development and leadership in a regulated environment.
• Packaging development for FDA regulated products.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 8+ years of relevant experience in product development and R&D support, with a demonstrated track record of scientific and packaging development responsibilities.
