The Configuration and Data Management (CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers. The Data Management, Engineering Support and Execution (DEX) department is looking for an individual to perform the role of Senior Data Manager (DM).

This position is in Tucson, AZ (On-site)

The Senior Data Manager identifies all data deliverables made part of a contract and subsequently builds a data track in a Product Data Management (PDM) system. The DM identifies, with help from the Program Office, the appropriate preparers, receives the data within PDM, reviews the data for compliance, solicits and secures appropriate programmatic approval and delivers the information to the customer on time, throughout the lifecycle of the contract.

In addition, DMs are responsible for reviewing sub-tier contractor requirements, building data tracks for supplier submissions, receiving data from various suppliers, and routing for approval and/or incorporation into prime contractor deliverables to the customer as well as securing non-deliverable program work products to be configuration controlled in the PDM system and other related tasking.

• Reading contracts for understanding of the deliverables

• Working in a PDM system to capture, manage, and track data deliverables and/or receivables.

• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to obtain requested data.

• Proofreading data for compliance to the requirement(s)

• Managing the data deliverable schedule and providing the data to the customer on-time

• Learning and understanding contractually required markings applied to data.

• Running forecast reports and providing them to the appropriate stakeholders

• Providing metrics related to on-time deliveries and outstanding dispositions upon request.

Qualifications you must have

The Naval Power Engineering Execution Team is seeking a highly motivated Integrated Product Team Lead for the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) portfolio within the Shipboard Missiles Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).

What You Will Do

• Serve as ESSM’s primary interface to the NATO Sea Sparrow Project Office (NSPO) Test & Evaluation community.

• Work across multiple design value streams spanning development, production and sustainment by serving customer needs and delivering capabilities in support of various contracts. Negotiate and balance priorities among multiple contracted efforts and customers while ensuring on-time delivery and execution.

• Primary responsible for schedule and cost execution of multiple CLINs within Design Agent contract. This includes direct Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities as well as delegation of CAM responsibilities to members within team.

• Support Agile ceremonies such as Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives and work closely with Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure the team’s backlog is prioritized, well defined with acceptance criteria, and executable to achieve the program goals and contractual deliveries.

• Own and define team’s vision and execution strategy to achieve program goals and contractual deliveries while managing dependencies across functional organizations to ensure on-time contractual deliveries.

• Develop executable build schedules for various integration and test assets and production units, ensuring and facilitating cross-functional coordination, collaboration and communication to support on-time deliveries.

• Remove barriers and ensure the team is properly staffed and resourced to support the program goals and contractual deliveries.

• Mentor and coach junior engineers within the team and foster a healthy team environment.

• Support weekly ESSM Block 1 and 2 Flight Test Working Group (FTWG) with NSPO, PHD, Corona and other test support teams. Align customer domestic and international flight test schedules and needs with Raytheon’s expected support.

• Support NSPO Telemetry Working Group (TMWG) as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. 

• Experience working with Manufacturing and Production Systems and Processes.

• PM Level 6 certification or able to obtain PM Level 6 certification within 1 year,

• Experience in programs utilizing Agile Framework, and understanding of and experience working in an Agile SI&T environment.

The team executes tolerance optimization through primarily 3D tolerance and variation analysis and works with the design team to influence the final design.  Early engagement in the conceptual stage and throughout the development process will ensure that our designs are optimized with respect to tolerance controls and methods of manufacture.  The DM engineer plays an essential part in reducing product cost and ensuring functional quality. 

What You Will Do

As a member of the Dimensional Management and Producibility Team, you may support the team in the following ways:

• Perform detailed 3D complex dimensional tolerance analyses and review 1D tolerance analyses using various tools to evaluate design requirements of new and existing designs to calculate design margin / capability, and provide recommendations while adhering to cost, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.

• Work with product teams to develop coordinated datum flow and document via drawings including interface control drawings (ICDs).

• Apply, encode and decode Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) on various technical data packages.

• Contribute to the development and training of the practical application of GD&T, tolerance analysis methods, and tools.

• Where applicable become recognized as the Dimensional Management Lead on a program to coordinate various aspects of the Dimensional Management Closed Loop Process while supporting Critical Item Initiatives.

• Function as a self-starter while exercising considerable latitude in determining the strategic objectives and methods of achieving Dimensional Management goals.

• Where empowered within a program, offer assistance developing inspection plans for both internal inspection and as required by suppliers for compliance with specifications.

The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer – Software Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) to join our Tucson, AZ team in the Advanced Technology Effectors System Engineering Department.  The SETC organization is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and partner with multi-disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our customers. As a Sr. Systems Engineer – Software Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) you will own the development and maintenance of all software and firmware level requirements and participate in compliance assessment and issue troubleshooting during formal qualification testing (FQT).  You will contribute to specifications of major systems and subsystems in the product technical data package, coordinating with Systems, Software, and Test teams to execute program tasks. 

This role is fully Onsite in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

• Update and maintain all software and firmware system and subsystem level requirements specifications.

• SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are being assessed during Formal Qualification Testing

• Work closely with the Systems, Software, and Test teams and IPTs on a variety of program technical tasks

• Participate in technical conversations with the customer

• Become a knowledgeable and ‘go-to’ Systems Engineer for the program

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience

• Experience with at least one of the following: systems software, systems firmware, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.

• Experience in test planning, verification of system requirements and/or formal qualification

• Active and transferrable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Job Summary

The Guidance Electronics Team provides Electrical Systems Engineering to develop Guidance Electronics solutions for products across the Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) portfolio. Our team develops missile Guidance Electronics Hardware. Our core electrical engineering responsibilities include architecture, analysis, requirements, integration, and test. The Guidance Electronics Team is searching for a Senior GPS Subsystems Engineer with experience in GPS technology. The role of the GPS Subsystems Engineer is to provide GPS electronics solution for missile products. GPS electronics solution includes architecture development, requirement definition, electronics design, analysis, modelling and testing. GPS Subsystem Engineer collaborates with missile level system engineers in developing requirements for the subsystem. They perform analysis and modeling to decompose requirements for GPS sub-assemblies and component designs.

Ideal candidates will also have some experience in systems engineering and architecture and have a desire to grow into a guidance section architect.

• Ideal candidates shall also have demonstrated understanding and wide application of technical theories and concepts in the area of navigation subsystems/components used in modern guidance electronics platforms

  • Recent technical experience relative to integrated Guidance Electronics systems using GPS and IMU navigation subsystems blended via Kalman filter techniques

  • Knowledge and/or experience with M-Code

  • Familiarity with Matlab scripting and tools

  • Experience with hardware integration, Hardware in the Loop (HIL), modeling and simulation and environmental testing and electronics test equipment

• Experience working with missiles or similar systems.

Lifecycle Engineering is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time.  Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.  Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.  Our focus area is product support, including the following engineering disciplines:  Reliability, System Safety and Supportability. We are looking for a Principal Reliability Engineer to join our team located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and implement reliability strategy across multiple product phases including development, production and sustainment.
• Support and/or lead a reliability engineering team consisting of varying levels of experience.
• Lead analysis efforts supporting system design with respect to Product Reliability, Maintainability, and Failure Reporting and Corrective Action.
• Lead in reliability disciplines including FMECA, Predictions, Derating, ESS and ALT.
• Coach other Reliability engineers and work with functional leadership in identifying and implementing Reliability engineering development.
• Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with existing standards.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with reliability requirements, analyses and/or test methodology development.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with FMECA, Reliability Predictions, ESS, Derating, FRACA.
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Customer focus and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office tools, and experience in the preparation and presentation of briefing material.
• Ability to review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with existing standards with the ability to identify concerns, suggest solutions, and follow through to closure.

As a Raytheon Process Engineer, you’ll work to improve processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability and safety and maximize profitability.

You’re the in-factory materials and process specialist, and your responsibilities will include verifying that Technical Data Package (TDP) shelf-life materials are correctly called out in Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) and writing material processing procedures. In addition, you’ll collaborate on integrating process equipment within the factory and you’ll document the equipment’s functionality. 

As a Process Engineer II, your responsibilities will also include:

• Quickly addressing production issues related to materials and processes, ensuring root causes of issues are understood and solutions are robust and cost effective
• Assisting with on-the-job training for materials and processes
• Actively participating in daily production meetings
• Collaborating with Factory personnel
• Notifying the Materials Management Team of any potential materials obsolescence or supply chain interruptions
• Assisting the Process Engineer working with Materials & Process Engineering (M&PE) to quickly address problem buys and obsolete materials. This includes identifying end users, determining material requirements, finding alternatives (drive testing as needed), ensuring new materials will work in existing processes and using the opportunity to drive to common materials
• Helping to improve processes utilizing Lean manufacturing techniques to reduce variability, eliminate constraints and provide ongoing process sustainment
• Helping to drive use of common materials based on allowable requirements on the drawing, utilizing process engineering tools
• Assisting in creating or editing Manufacturing Procedures
• Supporting process troubleshooting efforts to quickly and efficiently resolve manufacturing process issues and coordinating with Materials & Process Engineering (M&PE) Labs to do root Cause Corrective Action as required
• This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas
