Job Description

The manager has responsibility for leading, controlling, planning, organizing and evaluating the timely, effective and efficient delivery of the department's operations on a 24-hour basis.   • Reviews operational information and ensures systems are in place to monitor, review and revise procedures in order to maximize resource utilization within the department.

Maintains and reviews all aspects of organizational compliance as it relates to the department.

  • Develops a strong, collaborative relationship with Administrators, Directors, peers, and other key individuals across the Hospital, and fosters a multi-disciplinary teamwork approach to decision-making and problem resolution.
  • Develops strong relationships with appropriate external constituencies relevant to the department in order to promote community relations and marketing programs, thus ensuring the Hospital is responsive to the community's developing needs and maintains a favorable image in the eye of the community.
  • Participates and promotes concepts of the Magnet Journey. Model Magnet principles to continuously elevate patient care at Salinas Valley Health in collaboration with the Nursing Service Departments. Applies principles established in the Leader Accountability Grid attached.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university required.

Licensure: State of California Registered Nurse license required.

Certification: Maintains unit specific life safety certifications required of staff nurses in assigned department(s). New hires/transfers have up to six (6) months to meet requirements.

BLS & ACLS required through American Heart Association.

Obtains at least one of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program eligible certifications within one (1) year.

Experience/Knowledge: Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience related to clinical area of specialization as required by department, including one (1) year of management, supervisory or leadership experience.

The Quality Assurance (QA)Learning Experience Designer actively engages in the review, design, development, and implementation of learning products (e.g., academic programs and courses, short courses, micro-credentials), working closely with strategic partners and vendors; this includes the quality review of new learning content, as well as the search for suitable existing learning content within Covista's owned content repositories and learning content management systems.

The QA Learning Experience Designer has a working knowledge of digital learning product design and development theories, processes, best practices, and trends, integrating that knowledge to enhance the student learning experience by leveraging contemporary learning design principles, applying flexible approaches, and driving strategic innovation to anticipate, meet, and exceed partner needs.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $61,720.78 and $108,334.92.   • Have a MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent with 3+ years experience (or a Bachelors Degree with 5+ years) with a focus on power conversion and power systems.
  • Have experience in analog and digital control theory and stability analysis.
  • Have experience using Typhoon, Speedgoat, or other hardware digital control implementations to perform real-time digital control prototyping.
  • Have experience in power conversion design and test of AC/DC and DC/DC converters.
  • Are proficient at using in Matlab/Simulink/Simscape to analyze and simulate power converters and power systems.
  • Have experience in SABER or SPICE or other circuit analysis tools.

Plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual clients according to the principles and practices of speech therapy and according to the orders coordinated with a licensed physician.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ARE:

Appropriately evaluates (initially and periodically throughout care) client in areas of speech, both receptive and expressive and safe swallowing to assure support sufficient caloric intake, cognitive thought processing.

Develops and implements appropriate treatment programs to address problems identified;

develops realistic personal goals with client; re-evaluates, sets new goals and adjusts treatment program accordingly.

Treats clients to develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance using exercises and modalities, per current professional theory and community standards.

Advises, consults and instructs appropriate treatment procedures, therapeutic exercise and supportive activities to clients, family members and other home health team members.

Assesses need for adaptive equipment. Instructs clients, family members and other home health

team members in the care and use of the equipment. Develops needed plans for modifying

equipment/appliances and physical surroundings in the home to enhance safety.

Observes, records and reports to physician and/or supervisor, client's reaction to treatment, client's progress and any changes in client's condition.

Assists client and family with community resources needed to adjust to physical, mental and social limitations.

Coordinates other service team members, both in formal and informal care conferences, to assure

sufficient flow of information to support care of client.

Informs client, family and physician verbally and in writing as needed regarding plan of care,

progress, or changes and pending discharge.

Provides accurate and timely documentation of care in accordance with agency policy and pay source requirements.

Meets regulatory agency and/or pay source requirements regarding patient care.
