Cross Functional Store Manager in Training
Position Overview: Under limited supervision by the Location General Manager (LGM), the position is responsible for leading and developing a team of 10-15 cross-functional associates to deliver a world-class selling experience to CarMax customers. Team Overview: The Cross Functional Store Manager in Training will work closely with the Location General Manager and other business managers to ensure the effective execution of CarMax policies and procedures. This role is integral in developing a team of cross-functional associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve store performance metrics.
Role Responsibilities:
· Strategizes to achieve store’s budgets and performance metrics based on corporate business assumptions and LGM prescribed guidelines.
· Proactively plans for the daily business based on volume and staffing. Executes plans to ensure associates have the tools and training required to deliver a simple and seamless process to the customer tailored to their needs.
· Analyzes and presents store business results and reports them to the Location General Manager and supporting business managers as needed.
· Actively monitors and adjusts staffing levels based on business needs and staffing model.
· Opens and closes the store per schedule. Provides management coverage for the entire store.
· Responsible for managing all aspects of key CarMax Business areas and operating procedures through execution of Area of Responsibility (AOR) duties, leading cross-functional teams and problem-solving opportunities.
· Manages positive associate relations and associate development and role models successful behaviors to drive performance through timely and effective feedback including, but not limited to: Individual meetings, file reviews, performance management, and the Annual Performance Review (APR) process.
· Resolves associate issues in a timely manner and takes appropriate partners.
· Interviews, hires, trains, and promotes associates to support store operations and company growth.
· Leads training and development activities across business areas, including sales, service operations, merchandising, and business operations, to positively impact the customer experience, maximize execution, and minimize risk.
· Partners with and develops associates to resolve customer issues.
· Obtains and responds to customer feedback by directly interacting with customers, internal staff, written surveys as needed.
· Partners with appropriate departments and regional team members as needed.
· Ensures team adheres to asset protection and risk management processes and procedures. Researches and approves transactions that are identified as exceptions to normal business conditions.
· Executes AOR responsibilities according to company guidelines and checklists.
· Manages cash and other payment procedures and paperwork processes associated with the sale, wholesale, service, and purchase of vehicles.
· Identifies and raises awareness of opportunities to reduce waste; analyzes and identifies process improvements.
· Adheres to all CarMax policies and procedures including, but not limited to risk management, loss prevention, standards of professional appearance, and proper recording of time.
· Performs duties and tasks while reporting to the Location General Manager.
· Displays financial responsibility through P&L management.
· Uses all CarMax software and media effectively.
· Complies with all local, state, and federal regulations.
· Must possess a valid driver's license that meets the CarMax Driver Safety Points Evaluation System criteria, as explained in the CarMax Driver Safety Policy.

The annual salary for this position is:
$82,200.00 - $143,900.00
Benefits:
Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.
Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:
- To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company.
- For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.
Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.

At CarMax, all new managers complete a structured four-month training program to ensure they are prepared to succeed in their new role. The Front-Line Manager in Training is a training and development program designed to give a new CarMax manager the tools they need to assume the role of a Front-Line Manager within the Service Operations department. The base hourly range for this role is between $32 and $35. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. Job Title: Operations Manager
We are seeking an aggressive, growth-oriented Operations Manager to join our established multi-trade service company that serves across the state of Florida.
The Operations Manager will work directly with the General Manager to oversee all day-to-day operations, aggressively drive growth by manpower, ensure robust system support, and maintain training cadences. This role is crucial for complementing the General Manager's strengths and pushing the company from its current $25 million revenue to a target of $33+ million per year through sustainedannual growth.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Operational Oversight & Growth: Work with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing operations, including manager supervision, planning, scheduling, and execution of service projects.
- Manpower Development: Drive company growth by focusing on the supervision, training, evaluation, and development of Division Managers and front line employees.

The Onsite Technical AV Project Manager will lead and direct projects in accordance with customers' established criteria and standards. Manage project delivery. The Onsite Technical AV Project Manager shall ensure that the project delivers the agreed solution, remains within baseline budget, and is delivered on time, while achieving quality criteria and maintaining client satisfaction. This individual shall manage project delivery, ensure that in-line customer standards are met, and define the program methodology. This includes rigorous project scope control and management of change variations. They will also communicate with key stakeholders regarding the status of their projects. Project set-up, resources, and operations are efficiently managed within the wider program team.
Ensure client satisfaction. The Onsite Technical AV Project Manager will ensure client satisfaction and expectations are met, and that escalations are handled effectively. They shall act as the single point of contact between DMS and the client, whilst being accountable for all project-related escalations.
Project team management. The Onsite Technical AV Project Manager needs to be able to lead teams effectively in both on-site and remote environments. The individual shall act as a people manager and provide feedback to the relevant line managers. The Onsite Technical AV Project Manager ensures that the project team has access to the project management tools and have the general means to perform their role. They shall also coach and mentor project team members and colleagues.

Responsibilities Include:
Hiring, training and motivating all dealership department managers.
Directing and monitoring all dealership management or supervisory personnel functions and completing formal performance evaluations of all department managers at regularly scheduled intervals.
Planning dealership operations for the coming year and submitting to the dealer for approval.
Meeting with the owner and comptroller/office manager monthly to review departmental forecasts for consistency with the annual forecast.
Meeting with managers individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance.
Monitoring the daily operating control (DOC), recommending improved courses of action where necessary.
Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel.
Holding regularly scheduled managers meetings to ensure that every department is operating efficiently and profitably.
Reviewing and approving compensation plans for all employees.
Coordinating with the business office to ensure that records and analyses are maintained accurately.
Developing merchandising strategies and assists in creating effective, cost-efficient advertising programs.
Attending all manufacturer meetings on dealers behalf.

Position Title: Structural Department Manager
Reports To: Production Manager
Position Summary:
The Structural Department Manager is responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the Structural, Pipe, and Labor Departments in support of ship repair, maintenance, and modernization projects. This role ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards in accordance with applicable specifications and regulatory requirements.
The Structural Department Manager is responsible for setting the tone and culture of the department, ensuring full alignment with company expectations and strategic objectives. This role requires proactive leadership, accountability, and a strong commitment to organizational priorities. Department Managers are expected to champion company initiatives and directives from senior leadership, clearly communicating and reinforcing them within their teams as unified, department-level guidance.
The manager oversees a broad scope of production activities, including structural steel fabrication and repairs, hull modifications, deck and bulkhead work, piping system installation and testing, and general labor support services. Responsibilities include coordinating structural welders, fitters, pipefitters, laborers, and support crews to meet production goals and project schedules.
This position requires strong knowledge of shipboard structures, welding and pipefitting techniques, material handling, and staging. The Structural Department Manager works closely with project teams, planning, and other production departments to integrate efforts across trades, resolve technical and logistical challenges, and ensure customer satisfaction. The manager is also responsible for workforce development, resource planning, and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality management protocols.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure Structural Department Staff are constantly working to streamline production processes, reduce rework, improve department reliability, and deliver early on key schedule milestones.
- Provide systems for accountability for the management of department resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient financial performance.
- Maintain open communication with VP Programs, Production Manager, Production Engineering & Planning Manager, and PMO staff to address operational bottlenecks and correct them quickly.
- Ensure that every member of the Structural Department has clear & measurable tasks daily and provide a system for Department Management to provide daily feedback to all employees.
- Establish, enhance and maintain standard processes for the measuring and monitoring of department production rates, and providing standard rate information and feedback to Estimating.
- Ensure that all materials are ordered to support department schedules.
- Grows and develops Structural Department capabilities to increase business opportunities, eliminate dependence on subcontractors, and ensure PSI maintains a competitive advantage in the dynamic ship repair landscape.
- Create systems for collecting and reporting Structural Department Performance metrics across the organization.
- Strive for continuous improvement and encourage feedback from employees to drive improvements based on past projects to enhance performance.
- Embrace new technologies by introducing modern, efficient tools and technologies to improve productivity. Encourage employees to suggest and implement innovative solutions that can enhance efficiency and quality
- Works closely with the Project Manager(s) to ensure timely and cost-efficient completion of projects and/or jobs.
- Generates job assignments and communicates to subordinate employees, makes recommendations to the Production Manager on matters related to hiring, termination, suspension, advancement, promotion, demotion, discipline, and addresses or adjust employee grievances and other supervisory duties as required.
- Determines workforce staffing to maximize efficiency and meet project/department budget goals.
- Leads, trains, and develops Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, Lead men, and production team members.
- Advises PM on the status of all assigned projects, potential obstacles and delays and plans to minimize impact and beat project goals.
- Handle various administrative duties such as report writing, performance reviews, responding to email, interviews candidates, and form completion.
- Estimates time, manpower, and materials required for assigned jobs.
- Complies with requirements of the CBA.
- Assesses team member skills and provide necessary training opportunities as required to enhance or address deficiencies.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the execution of structural, pipefitting, and labor-related work in support of ship repair and maintenance projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable NAVSEA Standard Items, U.S. Navy technical requirements, and other regulatory and contract specifications.
- Oversee hot work operations, ensuring proper permitting, fire watch assignments, and strict adherence to safety procedures related to welding, burning, and grinding activities aboard vessels and in yard facilities.
- Lead coordination efforts between departments, subcontractors, and project management teams to resolve production and technical issues that may impact critical path work.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and customer-specific safety and environmental requirements, including confined space entry, fall protection, and hazard communication standards.

Education/Training and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required.

The incumbentis responsible forinstilling a team atmosphere among the members of the service department and acrossfunctionalline.The incumbent will work in concert with the District Operations Manager, District Sales Managers, Installation Managers/Regional Project Managers, Administrative Managers, and Technician Team Leaders in developing and implementing strategies that will maximize synergies between functions and promote teamwork.
This positionis responsible forfleet management of the service vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance is conducted and that each Technician has a safe vehicle thatcomplies withapplicable regulations.
This position works with theSenior ServiceManager or VPGM to establish proper inventory levels within on each service truck and in each storage facility; develops processes and procedures to ensure that these levels are maintained; and manages the Technicians, Team Leaders, andAdministrativepersonnel to ensure these levels are maintained without accumulating excess inventory.
Working as a team with Administrative and Sales personnel and with customers, this position assists in resolving outstanding collections issues and minimizing the aging of Accounts Receivable.
This positionis responsible formanaging allservice relatedexpenses, including labor, supplies, materials, and travel costs.The Service Manager reviews financial reports monthly,identifyingareas of good and poor financial performance, trends, and ways to improve profitability.
This position will work with Service Coordinators, Service Administrators, and Technician Team Leaders to ensure the efficient scheduling of all maintenance, repair, and service work in the district that results in maximizing service profits while exceeding customer expectations fortimelyservice.
This position ensures the quality of work by all Technicians by ensuring effective training, regular quality audits, and periodic spot-checks.
This position serves as a resource to the sales staff byassistingwith the technical aspects of sales.
This position will also serve as thepointperson for any customer having a technical question on our product or aservice relatedquestion.

The hiring range for this position in USA-NY-Cheektowaga is $84,800.00-$127,050.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The number of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. General SummaryUnder supervision of the Store Manager, manages the Non-Perishable Food and Merchandise Operations. Assists the Store Manager with efficient and effective inventory management, appealing and profitable merchandise presentation and quality customer service. Duties and Responsibilities- Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack boxes, cartons and totes of merchandise.
