Core Responsibilities
  • Partner with upstream and downstream teams to perform flux analysis as part of the month-end close process and advise on accounting for related transactions.
  • Assist in month-end close activities related to payroll, prepaids, credit cards, accruals, and other transactions for both US and international subsidiaries.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation for balance sheet accounts, working with business partners to obtain support for any reconciling items.
  • Implement and document improvements to facilitate growth, scalability, and improved compliance.
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors during quarterly and year-end reviews relating to financial statement audits, including preparation of supporting documentation.

The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $85,000 - $120,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other potential future incentives. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign-on bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.

Teamwork

Oversees and manages MMA resources in the delivery of benchmark service to clients. Generally, this position is a very experienced individual contributor who manages 4-5 very complex accounts. This position is matrixed to a specific Producer or Producers under whose auspices the Sr. Account Consultant is fully responsible and accountable for the total management of specific clients and/or is the primary resource to specific account managers on other. The Manager of Accounting is a key financial steward responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing financial reporting and analysis, guiding budget development, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports the strategic decision-making of senior leadership by delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial data and analysis.

Responsibilities and Duties


Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
  • Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including processing accounts payable, generating invoices, and general ledger entries. 
  • Monitor, review and verify accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and adequacy of supporting documentation.  
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. 
  • Pursue collections of outstanding accounts receivable 
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets. 
  • Oversee and directs audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate lease contract agreements, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization.  
  • Oversee general ledger account reconciliations and production of regularly scheduled summary reports, income statements, and financial statements.

Taxes

  • Process sales tax returns 
  • Obtain tax exemption documents in applicable jurisdictions 
  • Assist in the production of annual tax filings and other required reports 
  • Produce W2s and 1099s for employees and contractors 


Payroll

  • Process payroll according to the company payroll schedule 
  • Verify accurate contributions and deductions for employee benefits 
  • Maintain payroll tax accounts in applicable jurisdictions 


Cash Management

  • Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships. 
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs. 


Investment Management

  • Optimize investment strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds.


Qualifications


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
  • 3-5 years or more working professionally within the accounting field.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. 
  • Experience working with cloud-based financial platforms.
