This job is typically 8-weeks length in assignment. This job has certification in Radiography and is responsible for assessing patients and safely performing routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols. In addition, the technologist has been trained successfully and registered in theadditional modality.

Job Duties
- Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
- Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate care.
- Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
- Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol (including placement of IV).
- Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards.
- Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performing notification/remediation as warranted.
- Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.).
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

This job, as a part of a multidisciplinary team, assumes responsibility for the operation of the heart catheterization laboratory suite. Operates diagnostic fluoroscopy and various types of cardiac equipment, monitors patient vitals, performs routine calculations, circulates, and assists the physician during the procedure upon request. Prepares the procedure rooms, equipment, and patient for the procedure. Acts as liaison to the hospital Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).Education

Operates radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images of coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.
Conducts hemodynamic monitoring of patient during procedure and reporting values to performing physician.
Monitors delivery of radiation dose to patient to achieve safe delivery with minimal exposure to staff.
Transmits, archives, and retrieves digital images in picture archiving and communicating systems (PACS).
Performs quality control standards by using the optimum diagnostic imaging and performing regular maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.

What You’ll Do:
Perform general construction and maintenance of aerial and buried fiber facilities, ensuring compliance with maps, staking sheets, and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment, including excavation tools, to build and repair outside plant fiber networks.
- Install, splice, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic facilities using specialized equipment.
- Conduct cable fault acceptance tests, locate defective fiber, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Update GIS, maps, and as-builts; set and label infrastructure like peds, vaults, and handholes.
- Restore worksites to original condition upon project completion.
- Train and mentor team members as needed and maintain construction equipment.
- Provide support to field service technicians and complete required documentation promptly.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months experience in any combination of the following areas: customer service, electrical or utility construction, or TDS Telecom Field Services internship -OR-technical certification (or higher) -OR- current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
- Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.
Other Qualifications
- Must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. A current CDL is preferred at hire, but TDS will train and certify eligible associates through its in-house CDL certification program after hire.
- Physical requirements may vary based on company needs: Ability to climb poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as needed. Ability to kneel, dig, lift, and pull.
- Upon hire, must successfully pass all components of the Safety Training course curriculum.
- Upon hire, must successfully complete customer-specific requirements, which may include a background check administered by the customer.
- Horizontal directional drilling experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of telecommunication products and services.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- May require occasional travel.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed. May be required to work various/swing shifts as business needs dictate.

- Update GIS, maps, and as-builts; set and label infrastructure like peds, vaults, and handholes.
- Restore worksites to original condition upon project completion.
- Train and mentor team members as needed and maintain construction equipment.

Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of construction equipment operation utilizing various underground and aerial construction equipment such as directional drills, trencher/plow/rocksaw, backhoe, or bucket trucks -OR- current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
- Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements.
Other Qualifications
- Must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. A current CDL is preferred at hire, but TDS will train and certify eligible associates through its in-house CDL certification program after hire.
- Physical requirements may vary based on company needs: Ability to climb poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as needed. Ability to kneel, dig, lift, and pull.
- Upon hire, must successfully pass all components of the Safety Training course curriculum.

Training

He/she has the knowledge, skill and ability of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon and other members of the healthcare team within moderate to high difficulty surgical cases as defined by the scope of anatomy, equipment, and instrumentation of the case. a) Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure which includes review and utilization of appropriate preference card. b) Assists with room set-up to include opening of sterile supplies. c) Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medication/solutions needed for procedure in an accurate, aseptically prioritized and timely manner, including reviewing and utilizing appropriate preference cards d) Performs appropriate surgical counts with circulator. e) Actively participates in the procedure pause/time-out. f) Scrubs, gowns and gloves; Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants. g) Assists in draping sterile field. h) Passes instruments to surgeon during the procedure. Maintains an organized back table and operative field. Able to anticipate and offer surgeon suggestions throughout the procedure for facilitating cases i) Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during procedure. j) Prepares sterile dressings. k) Actively participates in post procedure pause which includes accounting for proper handling of the specimens. l) Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization, taking initiative to inform SPD of critical need instrument m) Applies principles of asepsis to ensure the prevention of infection and safety of patients and employees n) Prepares case carts according to procedure and preference cards. Reviews surgical schedule and assists clinical coordinator with preparation for future cases o) Observes patients condition and immediately reports any changes or significant findings to the physician and Registered Nurse. p) Proactively plans for the next steps in the progression of procedure as needed, demonstrating an ability to adjust without faltering when an emergency arises q) Performs with the knowledge, skill, and ability within the context of moderate to high acuity surgical cases r) Prepares OR room and other areas (as needed) for receiving patients, which includes stocking, cleaning equipment or storage areas, turns OR room over, orders/requests supplies, preparing instruments for future procedures, notification of specialty staff regarding needed instrumentation or equipment. s) Maintains a financial stewardship related to supplies and equipment, only opening required supplies until requested by the surgeon. Assists the health care team in providing safe, age appropriate and culturally aware patient care a. Provides relationship-based patient centered care that is consistent with population specific characteristics (e.g. age, gender, disease, etc) in a manner that adapts service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity under supervision of the registered nurse b. Always partners with the patient by verifying procedure and conducting relief bedside shift report. c. Practices using current clinical practice standards under the supervision of the registered nurse d. Upholds all health care system/organizational policies and procedures and clinical competencies put forth by this job description including legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements and standards ensuring by way of example, such as goals as TJC Patient Safety Goals and WellStar Health Systems safety absolutes. e.
