Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced Controller for a Corporate Controller position for a healthcare group with Behavioral Health Addiction Center Management, Corporate office located in Queens, NY. CONTROLLER - HEALTHCARE
The Corporate Controller directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
- Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel in the Accounting Department; (Accounting, Billing, A/P and Payroll). Recommends training requirements, and has the duty to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives.
- Maintains the Companyβs accounting system and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
- Controller furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnishes external reports as necessary.
- Directs and oversees the preparation of monthly financial statements and applicable work papers.
- Oversees all banking transactions and reviews monthly reconciliation.
- Responsible for providing effective financial controls for the organization.
- Reconcile quarterly payroll tax returns to Company books.
- Coordinate annual audit in conjunction with Companyβs independent auditors.
- Assist the CFO with special projects as needed.
- Ensure all HIPAA requirements are adhered to.
- Follows Agency policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting Certified Public Accountant designation and MBA are preferred
- 5+ years of experience including both public and private accounting
- 2+ years of experience with a home health agency preferred
- Proficiency with accounting and spreadsheet software

EDUCATION

Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line recommended, but none required. APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs are required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process. Evidence of current competence to practice as {an APRN, PA, CRNA, CNM} via appropriate reference letters from physicians and other practitioners must be able to be obtained during the Medical Staff appointment process in order to be eligible.

SPECIAL SKILLS
CRNA's must have sharp concentration and focus, along with the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions. CRNAs must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with surgeons and the surgical support team, as well as with patients and their families. A calm and reassuring manner is one way to inspire trust in patients, who may be apprehensive about surgery, as well as the surgical team. Anesthetic patient management must be immediate and responsive. Flexibility and adaptability are required.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
A CRNA must be able to demonstrate intellectual-conceptual, integrative and quantitative abilities; skills in observation, communication and motor functions; and mature behavioral and social attributes. Sensory- CRNA must be able to detect and interpret changes in monitoring alarms and equipment. Functional vision, hearing. no impairment of sense of smell and tactile sensation must be adequate. CRNA must be able to observe a patient accurately at a distance and close.Communication-CRNA should be able to speak, hear and observe. Intellectual-Conceptual, Integrative and Quantitative Abilities-Abilities include measurement, calculation, reasoning, analysis and synthesis. Problem-solving, the critical skill demanded requires all of these intellectual abilities. CRNA should be able to comprehend 3-dimensional relationships and understand the spatial relationships. Behavioral and Social Attributes -CRNA must possess the emotional health required for full utilization of intellectual abilities, the exercise of good judgment, the prompt completion of responsibilities. CRNA must be able to tolerate physically taxing workloads and to function effectively under stress and able to adapt to changing environments, display flexibility and learn to function in the face of uncertainties inherent in the clinical problems of many patients.

Position Overviewβ―
The Platform Credentialing role supports credentialing and payer enrollment activities across the RCA platform, with a focus on physician onboarding, acquisitions, and issue resolution. This position performs hands-on credentialing work, including application preparation, submission, follow-up, and payer activation, while assisting platform credentialing leadership with execution and completion of enrollment-related tasks.
The role works closely with RCM operations, practice administrators, payers, and internal teams to gather required documentation, resolve enrollment issues, and ensure providers are credentialed and activated in a timely manner. This position supports onboarding and transition efforts during growth and acquisition activity through accurate execution, tracking, and follow-through on credentialing requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesβ―
- Complete provider credentialing and payer enrollment applications for physicians and advanced practice providers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Enter, update, and maintain provider information in credentialing systems and payer portals (e.g., CAQH, PECOS, and commercial portals)

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLIITIES
Assist in overseeing craft supervisors in construction and maintenance

Collaborate with physical plant management personnel to coordinate engineering functions with construction and maintenance activities
Review, write and schedule work orders and maintenance requests

Five years of work experience in physical plant operations.

- In collaboration with the CHE and Senior Vice President of Healthcare Development, manage the affairs of the hospital foundation, including but not limited to: Developing, executing and monitoring a comprehensive development program; setting and achieving goals; legal, financial and general management; Board management and trustee recruitment.
- Responsible for setting realistic, challenging goals and directing major gift activity aimed at meeting those goals within budget.
- Develop and maintain senior level communication with CHE, Board of Trustees and Senior Vice President of Healthcare Development to align priorities, goals and strategies in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive development program for the hospital. - Provide leadership and support to the hospital foundation Board of Trustees. Recruit and orient new trustees, prepare annual budgets and plans, report regularly to board on progress against goals, motivate Board effectiveness and ensure the effective involvement of trustees with all hospital foundation activities. Effectively articulate strategy to the board, motivate trustees and direct board activities necessary to achieve results.
- Supervise and direct the activities of the hospital foundation staff, helping to set and monitor goals, manage prospects and close gifts.
- Oversee the coordination of activities with planned giving, annual fund, grants and strategic events departments for the successful implementation of related programs and achievement of goals in these areas.
- Engage board members and friends to host awareness building and networking forums. Recruit hosts for and coordinate appropriate cultivation gatherings of prospects at various educational, social and hospitality events. Manage cultivation events and internal constituency giving subcommittees and oversee management.
- Collaborate effectively as part of the hospital's leadership team to ensure that the hospital's philanthropy objectives are met through developing important relationships with physicians, nurses and staff to promote a culture of philanthropy and grateful patient prospect pipeline.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and helps to engage grateful patients in fundraising for the hospital. Must maintain patient confidentiality.
- Serve as needed on an on-call basis (including nights and weekends) for the Friends of the Foundation (FOF) program. Act as a liaison between program members, the Foundation, and clinicians and administrators, navigating the health care system on behalf of FOF program members, nurturing donor relationships, and providing continuity of a consistently high level of service. Express genuine compassion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- If applicable, participate in auxiliary meetings and events to help achieve compliance and to provide funding information, as well as secure auxiliary funding.

Job Description: Under the direction of the Director of Development & Communications, the Development Manager helps secure the resources Rafiki Coalition needs to sustain and grow its programs by focusing on foundation grants, corporate giving, and development operations.
This role works closely with the Director of Development & Communications (DD&C), Executive Director (ED), and key contractors to build and manage a strong institutional funding pipeline while supporting a small portfolio of major donor relationships.
The Development Manager is a hands-on project manager, writer, and relationship-builder who keeps proposals, reports, and sponsorship outreach on track, and who makes sure the ED and DD&C are well prepared for high-value fundraising conversations.
Rafiki is entering an exciting period of growth, including a 40th anniversary campaign, a capital campaign for its building, and an expansion of its development team and private philanthropy strategy.

- Assure that adequate strategies are in place to verify the current licensure and credentials of nursing employees.
- Aid with scheduling and performing guest rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and suitability of nursing care.

- Helps develop and implement the written staffing plan and nursing schedule that reflects the needs of the guest and guest population.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads the Anticipatory Grief and Bereavement Program for Supportive Care Servicesβ patients and families enduring anticipatory grief or who have experienced the death of their loved one. Works with existing resources to integrate bereavement services for the benefit of families and staff. Provides self-care support to staff who may be experiencing compassion fatigue. Exhibits empathy, interpersonal skills and analytical ability to perform assigned duties in compliance with instructions from leadership in Supportive Care. Supports and maintains the Supportive Care Services and University Health mission, vision, and values.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's or master's degree is required in a related field such as social work, counseling, psychology, chaplaincy or human services. Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education through an ACPE accredited CPE center is required for chaplaincy. One-year clinical residency preferred. Previous experience in professional skills related to grief responses, grief assessment, grief intervention, cultural diversity, assessment/ intervention, critical incident stress debriefing, and group facilitation is required. English/ Spanish fluency is highly recommended.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Licensure or certifications in grief counseling (The American Academy of Grief Counseling (AAGC) or The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV)) or related Texas state-specific licensure (LCSW, LPC) is required. Certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains, NACC, NAJC, CPSP, Spiritual Care Association, or other equivalent certifying body is preferred.Β Β Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support card is required.
