Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors this April as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years! We are looking for a dynamic CNA/or CCT that will monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac screen or telemetry monitors. Meets communication needs of the department. Transcribes physician orders from records with notation and signatures by nursing staff. Prepares and compiles records in the department. Maintains regulatory body requirements, policies and procedures and participates in performance improvement activities. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

- Demonstrates competency in interpreting dysrhythmias.
- Completes annual testing of arrhythmia competency
- Competent in all skills on the Monitor Technician skills checklist
- Monitors ECG signals at the central monitoring station, notifies RN immediately about sysrhythmias to the primary or charge RN

Education/Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent
5 years of problem solving experience demonstrated in a Customer Service environment (preferably healthcare orinsurance) or a combination of education and experience
Associate degree or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred
Skills

This Surgical Technician - First Assist opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient schedule. We are looking for a dynamic individual who assists surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, attends to the patients' direct care needs. Accepts responsibility for his/her integrity with respect to maintenance and compliance, to policies. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon, and other team members, with respect to the requirements of a particular surgical procedure. Demonstrates and maintains dexterity sufficient for successful completion of his/her assistant duties on each particular procedure. Maintains a professional attitude with respect to the dignity, privacy, and safety of the patient. Functions within the limits of his/her ability, and within the scope of practice set forth by the medical staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and appropriate state law.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Performs first assisting role under direct supervision of surgeon.
* Assists with room set-up, and tear down to facilitate patient flow.
* Assists with wound exposure using various retraction techniques. Applies wound dressings.
* Knowledge and proficiency in perioperative practices as Surgical Technologist for at least three years
