Participates in departmental personnel functions (hiring, firing, etc.) in conjunction with the Director of Case Management.
Provides input to annual and interim performance appraisal reviews for the professional and non-professional staff in department.
Acts as liaison to facilitate communication and collaboration between all care partners (physicians, hospitalists, community care managers, nurses, community resources, etc.).
Responsible for leading a high performance team of “system thinkers” who incorporate leadership principles and vision in performing the functions of case management.
Uses data to drive decisions, plan, and implement performance improvement strategies for case management.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

*Experience with:*
* Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on all aspects of employment law, including hiring, termination, disciplinary action, workplace accommodations, wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, and labor relations.
* Providing strategic counseling to employers on employment policies and litigation avoidance.
* Drafting employment-related policies and agreements compliant with current laws and reflecting organization strategy.
* Conducting exposure analyses and audits related to wage and hour compliance.
* Conducting workplace investigations and providing strategic guidance on employment claims and sensitive personnel issues.
* Analyzing and interpreting federal, state, and local employment laws, and translating them into practical, proactive legal advice.
* Defending against employee administrative claims and litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, reasonable accommodation.
* Experience in wage/hour class actions and PAGA actions is a plus.
* Experience in labor law/labor unions is a plus.
Salary range $135,000 - $182,000 per year

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning, design, and management of healthcare projects from initial programming and planning through project completion
Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of healthcare project types, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, specialty care centers, and other health education projects (allied health, health sciences, research, etc.)
Assist with marketing and developing strong relationships with existing clients and new client leads
Qualifications
Licensed architect with 10+ years of healthcare experience
In-depth understanding of healthcare codes and standards (e.g. FGI, NFPA, etc)
EDAC certification preferred, but not required
Strong business development experience with a network of existing client relationships
Ability to grow, lead, and maintain existing and new client relationships
Ability to lead and mentor multi-disciplinary staff with an interest in the healthcare market
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to clearly communicate design ideas
Ability to coordinate work efforts between multiple internal disciplines and external consultants
Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, and other design communication tools
Ability to oversee the documentation and delivery of projects
