About the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences
The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) is highly interdisciplinary and covers broadly all fields of Earth, atmospheric, and space science. EAS hosts a range of undergraduate degrees, including B.S. programs in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (AOS), Solid Earth and Planetary Sciences (SEP), and Environmental Science (ENVS), and hosts a distinct interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Ocean Science and Engineering in collaboration with the School of Biological Sciences and Environmental Engineering. Job Summary
The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, invites applications for an open rank, non-tenure track Associate Academic Professional, Academic Professional, Senior Academic Professional, Professional faculty position. This position will coordinate laboratory sections of the introductory Habitable Planet course (EAS 1601) that serves 500 undergraduate students per academic year and will teach upper-level undergraduate meteorology courses. Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain laboratory exercises and equipment for the introductory "Habitable Planet" course (EAS 1601).
- Supervise and train teaching assistants for "Habitable Planet" course (EAS 1601) each semester.
- Provide instruction for upper-level undergraduate meteorology courses, depending on the candidate's expertise and curricular needs (see undergraduate-courses).

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidates will have experience in the following:
- Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills (e.g., hosting TA meetings, addressing challenging lab student scenarios, and timely replies to emails).
- Ability to develop and teach quantitatively and computationally intensive meteorology and atmospheric sciences content, in particular topics that pertain to one or more of the following undergraduate courses: EAS 2551 Introduction to Meteorological Analysis, EAS 4440 Mesoscale Meteorology, EAS 4450 Synoptic Meteorology, EAS 4460 Satellite and Radar Meteorology, EAS 4655 Atmospheric Dynamics, EAS 4656 Atmospheric Dynamics Lab, EAS 4670 Atmospheric Dynamics II (see undergraduate-courses for current syllabi).
- Experience and/or training in implementation of high impact teaching practices.
- Experience using Canvas or equivalent course website software.
- The ability to teach and mentor a student body
- The ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming educational/work environment
- The ability to mentor and assist students interested in pursuing graduate education
- The ability to design and teach curricula that are responsive to a diverse student body

The Chair will have the opportunity to build upon the success of the School and the College of Computing. The school has 3 PhD programs in ACO, Computer Science, and Machine Learning as well as Masters and Bachelor degrees which are managed by the College. The School of Computer Science is a leader in the following areas of specialization: Computer Architecture, Data Systems and Analytics, Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Networking, Programming Languages and Compilers, Software Engineering, Systems, and Theory. The school has academic faculty, endowed chairs, research faculty, postdocs, adjunct faculty, and classified staff along with several research centers.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Computing, the Chair has overall responsibility for the academic and research programs in the School of Computer Science specifically focusing on all budgetary, administrative, academic, fiscal, and personal decisions in conjunction with the mission and goals of the College and Georgia Tech. The chair must have a forward-thinking strategic vision and the appropriate skills to lead a group of faculty and staff. Additionally, the Chair will provide overall leadership for all the school's teaching and research components at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Chair should establish collaborative and interdisciplinary relationships with others Computing School Chairs, with other leaders in the College, as well as all internal and external constituents at Georgia Tech and abroad. They must be able to build successful partnerships with executive leaders at Georgia Tech. External affairs, community engagement, and industry relationships should also be primary goals for the incoming Chair. Finally, the successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to Georgia Tech Core Values.
Required Qualifications

The Spatial Ecology & Paleontology Lab at Georgia Tech would like to invite applicants for a postdoctoral position. We are seeking a new member of our research community to be jointly supervised by Jenny McGuire (Georgia Tech) This postdoctoral research associate would join a vibrant team of international researchers investigating global change ecology.

Responsibilities
Depending on the Postdocs expertise and interests, tasks will include a combination of the following:
- Computational analysis to evaluate the climate tracking and climate fidelity of mammal and plant taxa.
- Mentorship and research facilitation of graduate students examining the effects of arid conditions various aspects of taxonomic variety of fossils from South Appalachians.
- Participation in a large international collaboration examining trait-environment relationships.
- Participation in research and collaborate with internal and external partners to assess how diverse adaptation strategies such as habitat connectivity, restoration, urban planning practices, and regional partnerships can mitigate biodiversity loss and promote resilience across Georgia and beyond
Required Qualifications
A PhD in Biology or other related field
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have strong interpersonal, partnering with computer scientists to collate, process, and analyze large datasets to assess ecosystem resilience and strategies to bolster ongoing biodiversity conservation practices.

- Conduct pre-launch KOL profiling efforts to enhance depth of product/disease/scientific knowledge. Facilitate top account/institution profiling efforts to enhance understanding of patient care pathways, including treatment protocol development and novel therapies.

About the School of Computing Instruction at the Georgia Institute of Technology
With more students graduating with a Computer Science degree than any other major at Georgia Tech and the Institute's requirement that every student complete at least one programming course, quality instruction on the foundations of computing has never been more important. The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) was created to serve these critical needs within Georgia Tech and beyond. Our award-winning teaching-focused faculty have three core missions:
Platform for Creativity and Innovation. SCI's creative faculty boldly experiment with new ideas and approaches to pedagogy, while continually re-examining proven methods to ensure their approach is effective and practical across a different set of courses and students. Ultimately, we consider SCI a platform for meaningful experimentation and invite collaborations both within and beyond Georgia Tech to further push the envelope in computing education.
Scalability of Computing Instruction. Job Summary
The School of Computing Instruction (SCI) at Georgia Institute of Technology within the College of Computing was recently founded to recognize the significant contributions of CS teaching-track faculty. We invite applications for multiple full-time and long-term faculty positions. The official appointment of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer will be made depending on past teaching experience. Both positions are offered with renewable contracts with an expectation to start in 2025 on Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta campus. Summer teaching for additional compensation is typically available. In addition, SCI faculty are typically allowed to teach at one of Georgia Tech's multiple study-abroad campuses (Berlin, Barcelona, Metz, etc.) during the summer.

Berkeley Summer Sessions & Study Abroad is a vibrant and dynamic organization that collaborates across faculty, academic units, international partners and campus service providers to enable more than 15,000 current and prospective Berkeley students, visiting students, and high school students to participate in more than 600 summer courses, study abroad experiences, global internships, and other learning opportunities. Berkeley Summer Sessions & Study Abroad is a part of the division under the leadership of the Dean of Extended Education that also includes University Extension and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
Summer Sessions, in partnership with UC Berkeley's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department (EECS), invites applications for a pool of qualified, dynamic instructors with a commitment to Pre-College education in Computer Science, Programming, and Data Science to teach high school students (grades 10-12) in our Berkeley Summer Computer Science Academy. This intensive, non-credit program is offered in-person over 2 weeks during weekdays (June 22, 2026 - July 3, 2026) on the UC Berkeley campus with some online instructional components, such as an Instructor Orientation and a student pre-arrival Welcome Webinar.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Course Subjects
We are seeking qualified applicants who possess current subject matter expertise and teaching proficiency in the SNAP! programming language/coding software and in other introductory coding, computer science, data science, and artificial intelligence concepts.
General Duties
The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. Specific duties and expectations will vary depending on the method of instruction including: Classroom (In-Person).
- For synchronous instruction (classroom), duties include but are not limited to: syllabus development; assignment development; lesson planning for class meetings; preparing and submitting required texts and course materials; reviewing and updating Canvas course site; and delivering lectures, presentations, and learning activities for all required hours of instruction.
- For all instruction (regardless of course format) duties include but are not limited to: completing required trainings as mandated by the UC Presidential policies; responding to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner; reviewing and providing feedback on student work; utilizing University-approved course support platforms including the Canvas Learning Management System, Zoom, Google Workspace, etc.; reviewing and following University and departmental policies, logistics, and other guidelines; and responding to other requests from the Program Director or Department Director in a timely manner.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree (or enrollment in a bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree program) required.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent international degree required by the start date of the position.
- Minimum of one year of experience in related content area.
- Availability to teach in-person on the UC Berkeley campus weekdays between June 22, 2026 and July 3, 2026.
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced degree (or enrollment in an advanced degree) in course subjects.
- Subject matter expertise in SNAP! programming language/coding software and in other introductory coding, computer science, data science, and artificial intelligence concepts.
- 1 or more years of teaching experience in the course subject at a United States K-12, college, or university institution.
- Experience in creating syllabi, learning objectives, lectures/presentations, learning activities, assignments, assessments, exams, and quizzes.
- Ability to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information.
- Effective verbal/written communication and presentation skills (English).
- Effective organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work within a team environment.
- Ability to support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy.
- Proficiency in (or willingness to learn) instructional and other technology, such as: Learning Management Systems (Canvas); lecture/presentation capture applications (Camtasia/Panopto); Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint); file sharing (Google drive or Dropbox); and Google Workspace tools (email, calendar, docs, sheets, slides, etc).
- Familiarity with Title IX, CANRA, CLERY, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and related federal and state laws, health & safety regulations, policies and procedures, and risk management guidelines and best practices related to working with minors or demonstrated ability to learn such laws.
