Roanoke, TX 1 day ago

Hi ,

I’m currently hiring for Business Object / Tableau developer at Westlake, TX. Please find the job description mentioned below and revert me with the copy of your updated resume if this works for you..

Position: Business Object / Tableau developer

Location: Westlake, TX (5 days onsite)

Type of hire: FTE

Project: Migration of legacy Business Objects (BO) reports to modern Tableau dashboards as part of enterprise modernization from legacy reporting systems to future state analytics.

ROLE SUMMARY

  • We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Associate with strong experience in Business Objects (BO) reporting, Tableau development, and enterprise-scale migration projects. This role will support the end-to-end migration of reporting assets from a legacy BO environment into a modern Tableau based analytics platform.
  • The ideal candidate is hands-on with strong analytical skills, deep understanding of reporting ecosystems, and experience translating legacy semantic layers and universes into scalable, efficient Tableau dashboards.
  • For the senior BO would say the current description for 7+ years’ experience is the minimum we should consider for the lead position. This effort will require coordination with several teams so want to stress the point called out around prior experience leading similar efforts in end-to-end migration.
  • This effort would involve migrating/modernizing both BO and Tableau reports, not necessarily one to the other. There is a large BO footprint that will remain in BO with focus on updating those universes and migrating/certifying the associated reports. We are looking for someone with robust understanding of BO Universes and semantic modeling to lead here.
  • Separately, there is another reporting footprint in Tableau, including supporting Alteryx workflows, that we are also migrating. Experience with both tools will be required which is called out well; any experience with Alteryx or similar GUI tools will be a plus.
  • To clarify this is the next stage of the EAP modernization the teams have been engaged on, as we are modernizing our underlying data landscape, the business is not anticipating much change to the report layer, however.
  • We should also add a section that includes data certification of reports, experience working with stakeholders and building confidence that their reports tie out will be critical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. BO to Tableau Migration

  • Analyze existing BO reports, universes, SQL, and semantic layers.
  • Reverse engineer and document business logic, KPIs, data rules used in legacy BO reports.
  • Re design and develop equivalent or improved Tableau dashboards aligning with future state architecture.
  • Validate data output between legacy and Tableau reports to ensure functional parity.

2. Tableau Development/Analysis

  • Develop dashboards using Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server/Cloud.
  • Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Build reusable data sources, extract strategies, filters, parameters, and advanced calculations.
  • Implement row level security, governance standards, and publishing workflows.

3. Data Analysis & ETL Alignment

  • Work with ETL/Data Engineering teams to validate underlying data pipelines and required transformations.
  • Identify gaps in source data, logic, and mappings during migration.
  • Collaborate on designing new data models aligned to future-state architecture.

4. Migration Planning & Execution

  • Assess migration complexity across BO inventory and classify reports for rewrite/enhancement.
  • Build migration templates, design patterns, and standardization frameworks.
  • Assist in phasing, prioritization, and cutover planning.
  • Support UAT cycles and defect resolution.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business SMEs, data owners, ETL teams, QA and product managers.
  • Conduct requirement workshops and sign off sessions for migrated dashboards.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in BI/reporting tools
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Business Objects (WebI, Designer, BO Universes, BO Reports)
  • 5+ years in Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server/Cloud
  • Strong SQL skills on Oracle / SQL Server / Snowflake
  • Experience rewriting BO logic → Tableau (calculated fields, LODs, parameters, filters, aggregations)
  • Good understanding of ETL workflows, data models, data quality validation
  • Ability to optimize Tableau dashboards for performance

Migration Experience

  • Must have worked on at least one end to end migration from:
  • BO → Tableau, or any legacy BI → modern BI migration
  • Experience mapping BO universes to Tableau data models
  • Experience reconciling legacy KPIs with new data models

Thanks & Regards,

Sagar Mishra

Postdoctoral Researcher in Advanced Aortic Image Analysis
✦ New
Salary not disclosed
Madison, WI 1 day ago

The Advanced Aortic Imaging for Clinical and Translational Research (AAI-CTR) lab at UW–Madison is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop and validate next-generation imaging biomarkers for aortic disease. If you want your algorithms to change how patients are monitored and treated, not just generate papers (although there is plenty of that too), this is the role.

Why This Lab:

Our group has built several image analysis techniques that have completely changed how we view aortic disease. Specifically, vascular deformation mapping (VDM) is a technique that detects aortic deformation patterns invisible to conventional diameter measurement, and we are actively translating it from research tool to clinical product. Our work sits at the intersection of deep learning, image registration, and clinical decision-making, with active industry partnerships aimed at commercializing the methods we develop. Former trainees have moved into competitive industry positions, co-developed new IP, and gone on to train at other top-tier programs. This is a lab where technical innovation and clinical impact are not separate goals.

What You’ll Do:

Algorithm & Pipeline Development

  • Design, train, and validate DL/ML models for aortic CT and MRI (segmentation, registration, shape/growth modeling, VDM pipelines).
  • Build and optimize image-based pipelines for longitudinal aortic surveillance using large, multi-center datasets.
  • Benchmark algorithms against clinical reference standards; lead external validation and reproducibility testing.

Clinical Translation

  • Collaborate directly with cardiovascular surgeons, cardiologists, and radiologists to define clinically meaningful performance targets.
  • Advance investigational tools toward real-world use: workflow integration, reliability testing, and documentation aligned with regulatory and commercial pathways.
  • Apply novel analysis methods to large patient populations (UW and multi-center cohorts) to generate evidence that supports clinical adoption.

Data & Project Leadership

  • Curate, organize, and manage large clinical imaging datasets and associated outcomes data.
  • Mentor and collaborate with trainees across clinical, engineering, and physics backgrounds.
  • Lead manuscript preparation, conference abstracts, and presentations; build your independent publication record.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Physics, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Hands-on experience with medical image analysis on CT and/or MRI.
  • Strong AI/DL skill set: proficiency in Python and common ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow); experience training and evaluating models on large imaging datasets.
  • Experience with core medical imaging tasks: segmentation, registration, or 3D model/shape analysis, transfer learning. Interest in deformation or longitudinal analysis is a plus.
  • Track record of scientific productivity (peer-reviewed publications, conference papers) and strong written/oral communication.
  • Genuine interest in clinical translation, meaning building tools clinicians will actually use, not just publishing methods papers.

Preferred

  • Prior work with vascular or cardiovascular imaging (aorta, aneurysm/dissection, cardiac CT/MR).
  • Experience with image registration or statistical shape/deformation modeling.
  • Familiarity with database tools and good data engineering practices for imaging research.
  • Comfort working in multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating closely with clinicians.
  • Creative, independent problem-solving mindset: able to prototype, test, and iterate quickly.

Commitment & Environment

We are looking for someone who can commit to at least 18–24 months. Meaningful translational research takes time: developing a method, validating it rigorously, and publishing the results is not a short-term endeavor. In return, you will work in a highly collaborative environment spanning Radiology, Surgery, Cardiology, and Medical Physics at UW–Madison, with direct access to large clinical datasets and a PI who is invested in your long-term career trajectory.

Work Authorization

Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization are preferred, including F-1 OPT and STEM OPT. We are open to sponsoring H-1B visas for exceptional candidates, though candidates who do not require immediate employer-sponsored work authorization will have an advantage given current processing timelines.

What You'll Do

About the AISI Fellowship

The Boston Consulting Group’s AI Science Institute (AISI) is launching a postdoctoral fellowship program designed to empower the next generation of applied science leaders. This elite, industry-adjacent program offers PhDs and early-career scientists the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most complex and high-impact scientific problems using cutting-edge AI, in collaboration with top-tier partners across aerospace, healthcare, energy, and materials science.

Fellows will operate at the intersection of foundational research, real-world deployment, and strategic impact, helping shape breakthrough workstreams with AISI partners.

Unlike traditional academic or big-tech postdocs, AISI fellows work on problems where the science, the data, and the deployment context are all partially undefined. Fellows are expected not only to advance models or methods, but to shape problem formulation, data strategy, and downstream impact alongside senior scientists, engineers, and industry leaders.

What You'll Bring

  • Lead or contribute to multi-disciplinary research initiatives that apply machine learning, simulation, optimization, or GenAI to real-world scientific domains.
  • Collaborate with BCG X teams and external stakeholders, including scientists, engineers, business leaders, to frame and solve complex technical problems.
  • Author internal and external research outputs, with opportunities to publish in top journals or co-develop IP with partners.
  • Design reproducible, scalable workflows that translate state-of-the-art models into practical tools for discovery and experimentation.
  • Serve as a scientific ambassador across AISI projects, bringing rigor, creativity, and a passion for impact.
  • Engage directly, as appropriate, with client or partner R&D teams to translate research insights into deployable solutions, with support from senior BCG X leaders.
  • Contribute to AISI priority research themes, which may include (illustrative, non-exhaustive):
    • AI-accelerated materials discovery and optimization
    • Scientific foundation models (biology, chemistry, climate, or physical systems)
    • Simulation-augmented learning (e.g., physics-informed ML, RL + simulators)
    • Compute-enabling technologies (chip design, process optimization, algorithm–hardware co-design)
    • Quantum algorithms and hybrid classical–quantum workflows

Who You'll Work With

Program Details

  • Duration: 24 months, with possibility of transition into full-time role at BCG X.
  • Mentorship: Each fellow will be paired with a senior advisor and a technical/scientific lead from BCG X and a partner institution.
  • Resources: Full access to BCG’s infrastructure, compute resources, research datasets, and partner ecosystems.
  • Compensation: Competitive salary aligned with industry postdoc benchmarks, plus support for publishing, conference travel, and IP generation. Fellows are encouraged to publish in top-tier venues unless constrained by client confidentiality or strategic IP considerations; in such cases, alternative external-facing research outputs (e.g., methods papers, open-source tools, or delayed publications) will be supported.

What Success Looks Like

By Month 6

  • Leading or co-leading a defined AISI research workstream
  • Delivering models, methods, or code integrated into an active project
  • Establishing a clear publication and/or IP trajectory identified

By Month 12

  • Producing at least one external-facing research output, such as a paper, preprint, workshop, or open-source contribution.
  • Being recognized internally as a go-to contributor in a priority scientific domain.
  • Actively collaborating with at least one external partner or client R&D team.

By Month 24

  • Delivering multiple high-quality research outputs and/or patented IP.
  • Establishing a clear path to a permanent role at BCG X or strong placement into a top-tier industry or research position.
