This role will be instrumental in leveraging data to drive strategic insights, optimize operations, and support innovation across our standards-based solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
While this position may not initially have supervisory responsibilities, this role is expected to provide technical leadership in the area of data science and data analytics. This person is also be expected to collaborate across GS1 US and lead cross-functional teams as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field is preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with manipulating large data sets, identifying patterns, and developing inference and regression models that can be implemented. Digital supply chain and e-Commerce experience is strongly preferred
- 8+ years of programming including tools such as Power BI and languages such as Python, SPARK, SQL etc.
- Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure ecosystem including Azure ML, Fabric, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Power Platform
- Ability to lead complex projects, define analytical strategy, and mentor junior data scientists and engineers
- Data governance, security, and scalability skills
- Significant experience with supervised and/or unsupervised Machine Learning algorithms
- Experience with predictive and prescriptive analytics is a must
- NLP and Gen AI experience is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, deep learning and statistical modeling
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for model deployment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other business applications is a plus

About the AISI Fellowship
The Boston Consulting Group’s AI Science Institute (AISI) is launching a postdoctoral fellowship program designed to empower the next generation of applied science leaders. This elite, industry-adjacent program offers PhDs and early-career scientists the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most complex and high-impact scientific problems using cutting-edge AI, in collaboration with top-tier partners across aerospace, healthcare, energy, and materials science.
Fellows will operate at the intersection of foundational research, real-world deployment, and strategic impact, helping shape breakthrough workstreams with AISI partners.
Unlike traditional academic or big-tech postdocs, AISI fellows work on problems where the science, the data, and the deployment context are all partially undefined. Fellows are expected not only to advance models or methods, but to shape problem formulation, data strategy, and downstream impact alongside senior scientists, engineers, and industry leaders.
What You'll Bring
- Lead or contribute to multi-disciplinary research initiatives that apply machine learning, simulation, optimization, or GenAI to real-world scientific domains.

As a Alcohol Production & Applications Technologist you will support Manufacturing, Creative/Applications Labs, and Production Planning by preparing colored and uncolored alcohol-based solutions; executing alcohol compounding activities; coordinating production scheduling; and ensuring batches meet customer, quality, and safety requirements.
You will provide technical support to production, ensures workflow efficiency, and maintains compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in a Class 1 Div 1 flammable compounding environment.
The position reports to the production manager.

Key Responsibilities
1. Alcohol Compounding & Batch Preparation (Coloring / Production Execution)
- Prepare alcohol batches to specification using visual color matching and colorimeter readings.
- Incorporate fragrance oils into hydro-alcoholic bases for evaluation, developmental work, pilots, and production batches.
- Maintain accurate batch records, sample retains, and all supporting documentation.
- Ensure proper handling of dyes, filters, raw materials, and flammable materials.
2. Production Scheduling & Workflow Coordination
- Develop and maintain the Alcohol Room production schedule.
- Partner with Planning and Customer Service to communicate schedule change needs and provide order status updates as requested.
- Coordinate workflow with Alcohol Room operators to maximize efficiency and meet customer deadlines.
- Manage inventory of alcohol production supplies; order materials such as filters, dyes, and lab equipment.
3. Lab & Applications Support
- Prepare solutions, color targets, and samples for R&D, Applications Lab, Creative Centers, and Sample Lab.
- Conduct stability testing, record results, and communicate findings to R&D.
- Support non-conformance investigations, ISO/PSM initiatives, and KPI data collection.
- Cover Sample Lab operations when required.
4. Training, Leadership & Cross-functional Support
- Train operators on alcohol manufacturing processes, safety practices, software systems, and equipment functionality.
- Assist Production Supervisors by guiding staff in GMPs, safety guidelines, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide feedback on performance to help support the review process.
5. Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with Class 1 Div 1 process safety requirements and all plant safety procedures.
- Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Prepare documentation, labels, and shipping papers for alcohol-based materials.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in fragrance/alcohol manufacturing or equivalent compounding experience.
- Strong understanding of flammable compounding safety requirements.
- Familiarity with fragrance raw materials, ATF procedures, and proper material-handling techniques.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, database systems, and applications such as CMS, LCMS, MWS, and SAP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.

The College of Computing (CoC) at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) invites applications and nominations for two inaugural Krishna A. Bharat Professorships in Computational Journalism, at its campus in Atlanta, Georgia. The Bharat Professorships will further research and innovation that focuses on information access in the public sphere, exploring responsible, civic-minded approaches to computational journalism and civic technologies broadly. The chair is endowed by Krishna Bharat, a Georgia Tech doctoral alumnus in computer science and the founder of Google News.
The scope of this search is not limited to journalism as conventionally defined. It may include candidates whose backgrounds span a variety of fields that inform civic life - including communication, public policy, political science, statistics, and law - who have the ability to teach and mentor a student body and to promote an inclusive and welcoming educational and work environment. PURPOSE STATEMENT: The job of Lead HVAC & Refrigeration Technician is done for the purposes of providing journey-level skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning, heating; installing, managing, and repairing chilled water systems, chillers, boilers; reviewing work requests; assigning and leading the work of other technicians; conducting scheduled maintenance and repair surveys; inspecting completed work; ensuring completion of projects in accordance with trade standards; providing information on the operation of HVAC systems; and supporting other skilled trades in completing work assignments.
This job reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings for existing and proposed HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying the location of new and existing systems and determining the efficient installation of additional equipment/systems.
Confers with immediate supervisor and assists with the coordination of day-to-day activities (e.g.
periodic lubrication; filter cleaning; changing belts, repairing system leaks, checking water tower components, trouble/issues phone call response, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the proper and efficient maintenance and repair of District HVAC.
Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
Coordinates personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders (e.g.
establishing work schedules, reviewing processes to be undertaken, etc.) for the purpose of providing direction and information for decision-making, taking appropriate action, and/or complying with health and safety regulations.
Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning (e.g.
blowers, filters, the flow of condenser water, water treatment system, variable air volume (VAV) systems, and pumps, etc.) for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and replacement needs.
Installs electrical HVAC system components (e.g.
alarms, switches, timers, service disconnects, relay, controllers, variable frequency drive (VFD), etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities.
Estimates materials and/or equipment needed to initiate/complete work projects for the purpose of ensuring timely implementation and completion of projects.
Fabricates equipment parts (e.g drain pans, repiping, reducting, etc.) for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing discontinued or unavailable parts.
Implements assigned programs and/or projects (e.g.
inspection schedules, preventive maintenance programs, new District projects, work orders, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring optimal HVAC operation and conformance to established guidelines.
Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action, and/or complying with health and building regulations.
Inspects completed work (e.g.
heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, repair of gas heaters and boilers, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the quality of work standards are met and identifying preventive maintenance requirements.
Installs heating/air conditioning equipment and systems (e.g.
boilers, chilled water systems, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded HVAC capabilities.
Maintains a variety of files and records (e.g.
time sheets, inventory, work orders, labor/material estimates, equipment repair manuals, service records, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date references and audit trail.
Manages operation and performance records (e.g.
periodic lubrication schedules, heating and cooling performance, diagnosis of electrical systems, testing of refrigerant and condensation systems, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring timely review and assessment.
Monitors contract work (e.g.
coordination of contractor work schedules and performance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring contract terms are fulfilled and work standards are met.
Oversees and coordinates assigned personnel regarding procedures, the status of work orders, and the day-to-day activities and operations (e.g.
establishing work schedules, reviewing processes to be undertaken, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that assignments are completed in a safe, proper, and timely manner, maximizing the efficiency of the workforce.
Participates in meetings, workshops, and training (e.g.
new employee training, 3rd party contractor meeting, maintenance department meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying, gathering information, offering recommendations required to complete HVAC and training personnel.
Procures equipment and supplies (e.g.
overseeing inventory requirements, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining the availability of required items in order to complete jobs efficiently.
Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate operational and safety concerns.
Tests and repairs heating and air conditioning systems and components; swimming pool equipment (e.g.
braze or solder tubing; charge systems with refrigerant gas; condensers, valves and coils, piping, boilers, air handlers, motors, etc.) for the purpose of providing solutions for HVAC system operation for a safe and comfortable work/learning environment.
OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of District’s HVAC and general maintenance.
EXPERIENCE: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
EDUCATION: No specific education is required.
EQUIVALENCY: Any combination equivalent to three (3) years of journey-level experience in the air conditioning, heating and refrigeration field, including one (1) year with the responsibility to lead/supervise the work of others.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support our client on a portfolio of initiatives across business and technology teams. Job Summary
The Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, seeks applications for a research-focused Postdoctoral Fellow in Information Technology Management (ITM). The initial appointment is for one year and may be renewed for up to two years, depending on satisfactory performance. The role involves close collaboration with the ITM area faculty on mutually selected research projects. Two preferred areas of focus for our group are:
Studying the application of LLMs in online multisided platforms, such as the design and optimization of LLM-powered advertising mechanisms, and strategic interaction between platform participants. We are particularly interested in how LLMs influence user engagement, attention allocation, and economic outcomes on digital platforms, including auction-based advertising markets and dynamic information environments.
Developing economic frameworks for data valuation and privacy in business applications, including topics such as federated learning, copyright-preserving generative models, data marketplace pricing, and incentive-compatible privacy mechanisms. This line of research aims to connect information economics, machine learning algorithms, and market design, to address practical concerns in decentralized data governance, trustworthy machine learning, and platform strategy.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include :
- Work on high-impact research projects, from conceptualization, data collection, and data analysis to manuscript preparation and publication.
- Teach one 3-credit course each year.
- Perform related services based on the needs of the ITM area
Required Qualifications
- A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in information systems, economics, management science, computer science, statistics, operations, or other related quantitative and/or social science domains
