Department of Politics of Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, Florida, invites applications for a full-time position in politics at the rank of assistant professor to begin Fall of 2026. Applicants whose primary fields are American government and/or policy are strongly preferred. Those with a foundation in political economy will also be regarded favorably. Competitive applicants will be gifted teachers and active in research and publishing. Applicants should also understand the nature and purpose of a Catholic liberal arts education and be familiar with and committed to the Catholic Church’s teaching on the mission of Catholic universities as expressed in Ex corde Ecclesiae. Duties include three undergraduate courses per semester, mentorship of undergraduates, and committee work. Ph.D. or the equivalent by June 2026 is expected. What You’ll Do

Logistics & Material Handling

• Receive, inspect, document, and store all incoming shipments

The Advanced Aortic Imaging for Clinical and Translational Research (AAI-CTR) lab at UW–Madison is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop and validate next-generation imaging biomarkers for aortic disease. If you want your algorithms to change how patients are monitored and treated, not just generate papers (although there is plenty of that too), this is the role.

Why This Lab:

Our group has built several image analysis techniques that have completely changed how we view aortic disease. Specifically, vascular deformation mapping (VDM) is a technique that detects aortic deformation patterns invisible to conventional diameter measurement, and we are actively translating it from research tool to clinical product. Our work sits at the intersection of deep learning, image registration, and clinical decision-making, with active industry partnerships aimed at commercializing the methods we develop. Former trainees have moved into competitive industry positions, co-developed new IP, and gone on to train at other top-tier programs. This is a lab where technical innovation and clinical impact are not separate goals.

What You’ll Do:

Algorithm & Pipeline Development

• Design, train, and validate DL/ML models for aortic CT and MRI (segmentation, registration, shape/growth modeling, VDM pipelines).
• Build and optimize image-based pipelines for longitudinal aortic surveillance using large, multi-center datasets.
• Benchmark algorithms against clinical reference standards; lead external validation and reproducibility testing.

Clinical Translation

• Collaborate directly with cardiovascular surgeons, cardiologists, and radiologists to define clinically meaningful performance targets.
• Advance investigational tools toward real-world use: workflow integration, reliability testing, and documentation aligned with regulatory and commercial pathways.
• Apply novel analysis methods to large patient populations (UW and multi-center cohorts) to generate evidence that supports clinical adoption.

Data & Project Leadership

• Curate, organize, and manage large clinical imaging datasets and associated outcomes data.
• Mentor and collaborate with trainees across clinical, engineering, and physics backgrounds.
• Lead manuscript preparation, conference abstracts, and presentations; build your independent publication record.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Physics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Hands-on experience with medical image analysis on CT and/or MRI.
• Strong AI/DL skill set: proficiency in Python and common ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow); experience training and evaluating models on large imaging datasets.
• Experience with core medical imaging tasks: segmentation, registration, or 3D model/shape analysis, transfer learning. Interest in deformation or longitudinal analysis is a plus.
• Track record of scientific productivity (peer-reviewed publications, conference papers) and strong written/oral communication.
• Genuine interest in clinical translation, meaning building tools clinicians will actually use, not just publishing methods papers.

Preferred

• Prior work with vascular or cardiovascular imaging (aorta, aneurysm/dissection, cardiac CT/MR).
• Experience with image registration or statistical shape/deformation modeling.
• Familiarity with database tools and good data engineering practices for imaging research.
• Comfort working in multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating closely with clinicians.
• Creative, independent problem-solving mindset: able to prototype, test, and iterate quickly.

Commitment & Environment

We are looking for someone who can commit to at least 18–24 months. Meaningful translational research takes time: developing a method, validating it rigorously, and publishing the results is not a short-term endeavor. In return, you will work in a highly collaborative environment spanning Radiology, Surgery, Cardiology, and Medical Physics at UW–Madison, with direct access to large clinical datasets and a PI who is invested in your long-term career trajectory.

TITLE: Lab Manager

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology

About the Position:

The Lab Manager is responsible for formulating and developing metalworking fluid products, including synthetics, semi-synthetics, and cutting oils. This role will involve researching raw materials, designing formulations, conducting performance testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (procurement, production, commercial) to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards. They will also assist with lab functions relating to QC and Technical Support, making sure they are performed in a timely and professional manner and ensure the lab is kept in a neat and orderly condition.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize formulations for metalworking fluids, rust preventives and cleaner/degreasers. Record data and keep organized files and records of activities.
• Prepare samples of R&D formulas and conduct tests to help develop, improve and customize products to meet customer requirements and record test data to determine QC specifications.
• Compile and organize reports to track new product development work, competitive sample analyses, field sample reports, CofA's and related documents, as appropriate.
• Collect, label, organize and store lab samples including raw materials, batch retain samples, competitive product samples and samples of experimental raw materials.
• Support scale-up processes from laboratory to production.
• Provide technical support to sales and production.
• Maintain and update lab files/records including R&D reports, customer technical service reports, raw material and finished good PDS, SDS, and CoA's, including inputting data into the QC log and in the QC shared file after tests are performed.
• Stock and maintain lab equipment, reagents, glassware, pH buffers, titration solutions and other lab supplies and keep glassware and laboratory bench clean and organized.
• Directs technicians to ensure that all Laboratory activities are conducted in a timely manner and according to policies and procedures.
• Assists the Director of Technology with the regular performance evaluation, feedback, and coaching of the lab personnel.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to be a hands-on chemist and carry out some repetitive testing.
• Ensuring that activities in the laboratories and associated operations are in compliance with the safety policies and programs of the company, as well as, local, state and federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong understanding of lubrication chemistry, surfactants, and additives prior experience with analytical and performance test methods for metalworking fluids, rust preventatives, and/or cleaners/degreasers

This full-time position reports either directly or through a Program Director to the Clinical Director of Psychiatry in the Division of Correctional Health Services and is responsible for the clinical oversight, management, and innovative development in specific mental health treatment areas, including standard mental observation (MO) units, specialty MO units and general population clinic settings in one of the 12 jail facilities in New York City. Approximately 25% of new admissions per year to the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. The service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, a strong DBT training program, clinics in each of the facilities, substance use treatment, integrated re-entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city.

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the clinical integrity of the specific program or housing area to which they are assigned, including ensuring that all clinicians are providing appropriate and timely clinical interventions and documentation. Depending on the treatment area, s/he manages patient admissions and discharges, monitors and engages in treatment, oversees quality assurance, manages on-going training and education for treatment-area staff, and performs other managerial administrative tasks including liaising with DOC. In addition to direct supervisory and management responsibilities, the Clinical Supervisor also provides direct care to a small caseload of complex patients and is responsible for the accompanying medical record documentation. Clinical Supervisors who are qualified for and interested in providing care on the PACE or CAPS units (specialty MO units) for individuals with serious mental illness will report to a Program Director for direct supervision.

Responsibilities Include:

• Formulate and implement procedures for operating, monitoring, and evaluating mental health programs and services in assigned area of responsibility
• Develop and lead staff training programs and exercises to maintain a culture of learning and clinical excellence
• Serve as the clinical leader for the assigned area of responsibility and provide weekly individual and in-person supervision for all assigned mental health clinical staff; review diagnostic, treatment, and level of care decisions and documentation; ensure adherence to policies and procedures; and conduct clinical case conferences
• Lead daily multi-disciplinary meetings with all mental health staff in the assigned area of responsibility, including DOC when appropriate.
• Provide quality assurance and quality improvement as directed by the Clinical Director of Psychiatry
• Coordinate re-entry services with the social work staff in the assigned area of responsibility
• Meet regularly with the Clinical Director of Psychiatry or assigned supervisor to provide meaningful input into program design and policy formation
• Personnel management of the clinical staff, with assistance from the Clinical and/or Medical Directors as needed, including recruiting, mentorship, supervision, and disciplinary procedures
• 20% of time must be devoted to direct clinical care, some of which may include supervision of trainees. Timely and clear documentation of supervision and clinical care is expected.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice in a mental health discipline issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED); and

2. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a health care setting or regulatory agency administration, with an emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services; one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.

Summary

The Chemical Biology Core Department at Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join as a Chemical Biology Specialist III.

The Chemical Biology Core (CBC) is comprised of two functional units: the Chemistry Division and the Structural Biology Division. The primary purpose of the Chemistry division is to maintain chemistry equipment and assist, identify and optimize chemical probes and new lead compounds that may benefit both biochemical mechanistic studies and drug discovery & development. The primary purpose of the Structural Biology division is to assist with experiments related to protein purification, binding characterization, and structure determination. The two divisions work together to provide complementary approaches for identifying novel therapeutic targets and anti-cancer agents.

The position will initially be based at our Magnolia Campus, ultimately, the position will be located at Moffitt at Speros in Land O’Lakes, FL once the facility opens mid July 2026.

Position Highlights:

• The primary responsibilities of this position are for developing synthetic and medicinal chemistry strategies in support of research and development in collaborative Drug Discovery and Chemical Biology research projects and effective management of chemistry equipment such as NMR, SFC, LCMS, HPLC, microwave reactors, and chemical purification systems.
• Responsible for maintaining chemistry equipment with a team of chemists, designing, synthesizing, chemical analysis, purification of small molecules, generating experimental reports of all assigned projects and providing expert assistance in the synthesis of focused compound libraries.

• Ph.D. in Organic Synthesis is preferred with 3 years of post doc experience in small molecule synthesis.
• Experience with Synthetic route planning, and reaction problem solving to apply chemical biology and medicinal chemistry projects is essential.
• Outstanding experimental skills, planning, and execution of laboratory work.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing advanced analytical instrumentation with a team of chemists.
