Our Defense SATCOM Product Team is looking for a dedicated Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of our defense satellite communication products — delivering reliable connectivity for mission-critical land and maritime operations.


As a Product Manager at Cobham Satcom , you will play a pivotal role in defining and driving our defense product portfolio to ensure high performance, long-term growth, and alignment with evolving market and mission needs. You’ll be responsible for shaping the direction of our SATCOM technologies that keep people safe, connected, and operational when communication matters most.



Your Mission

  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept through sustainment and obsolescence
  • Define and execute the product roadmap aligned with defense mission requirements and technology evolution
  • Conduct quarterly product reviews against KPIs: revenue, margin, backlog, and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance to resolve product issues and optimize investments
  • Develop pricing and commercial strategies supporting margin goals and competitiveness
  • Translate Voice of Customer insights into roadmap updates and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support bids, proposals, and business cases with product positioning and cost models
  • Ensure compliance with export control , configuration management , and quality standards



As our Product Manager at Cobham Satcom, your qualifications should ideally be:

  • Proven experience in product management within satellite communications, defense systems, or related high-technology sectors
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of hardware-based SATCOM products , including terminals, modems, and RF systems
  • Skilled in performance management, pricing, lifecycle cost analysis , and cross-functional leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer and market requirements into actionable product strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Tools Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, and Bitbucket) is a plus
  • Experience with RF communications , VSAT systems , or military/defense applications is an advantage
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) per export control requirements
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to influence and collaborate across teams


The salary range posted for this position is $150,000-170,000

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) KC-46 Tanker Program is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and inclusive First Line Communications and Navigations Engineering Manager to lead the Communications and Navigations Systems team from either Tukwila, WA or Everett, WA .

This is an exciting time in the program as we partner with our US Air Force customer for enhanced mission systems upgrades as well as new international customers to grow the business. In this role you will be responsible for the engineering management of an integrated communication suite and aircraft navigations subsystem of electronics hardware. Leadership responsibilities will include management of the engineering team responsible for all aspects of the avionics hardware, including the design/architecture, integration, lab/aircraft testing, airworthiness certification, new business proposals, and supplier technical management. In addition, you will be in charge of managing the financial labor and material budgets as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for the team.

The Boeing KC-46 "Pegasus" is the new US Air Force aerial refueling tanker aircraft designed to support multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift. The KC-46 is a military commercial derivative aircraft based on the Boeing 767-2C aircraft and modified per US Air Force specifications for the primary mission of aerial refueling US and Allied aircraft. The KC-46 accomplishes this refueling mission using either the Hose & Drogue or the Boom systems, which are capable of transferring fuel at rates of 400 or 1,200 gallons per minute, respectively. The KC-46 is also equipped with a suite of tactical situational awareness systems and self-defensive systems that allow the aircraft to provide closer support to combat aircraft when performing missions.

• Perform asset tracking using approved asset‑tracking software, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with Government standards.

• Maintain detailed inventory reports, asset manifests, and documentation in accordance with DoD logistics standards.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of SATCOM and baseband equipment including NIPR, SIPR, and Third Data Package systems.

• Prepare, edit, and manage DoD technical documentation related to supply, purchasing, provisioning, and RAM analysis.

• Maintain warehouse security, material handling procedures, and safety protocols.

• Support inspections, audits, and COR reviews of documentation, processes, and labor qualifications.

• Ensure configuration management and accountability for complex mechanical and electronic systems/equipment.

• Interface with Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Government personnel to coordinate requirements.
