Position description
The Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Program (ISSP) is the administrative unit that oversees the interdisciplinary majors, minors and graduate programs within the Social Sciences Division of the College of Letters and Sciences at UC Berkeley.
Housed in ISSP, the Master of Computational Social Science (MaCSS) is a new one-year professional master's program that will provide students with practical skills for analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing social data. Social data are data about people, groups, organizations, and their interactions from surveys and censuses, company websites, store loyalty cards, cell-phone records, social media posts, internet searches, etc. MaCSS graduates will be able to work as analysts and data specialists in business, non-profit, and government settings.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION: Teaching one or more of the following courses:

* Introduction to Applied Statistics;
* Advanced Computing;
* Applied Statistics;
* Ethics, Data, & Society;

Berkeley Summer Sessions & Study Abroad is a part of the division under the leadership of the Dean of Extended Education that also includes University Extension and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
Summer Sessions, in partnership with UC Berkeley's Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department (EECS), invites applications for a pool of qualified, dynamic instructors with a commitment to Pre-College education in Computer Science, Programming, and Data Science to teach high school students (grades 10-12) in our Berkeley Summer Computer Science Academy. This intensive, non-credit program is offered in-person over 2 weeks during weekdays (June 22, 2026 - July 3, 2026) on the UC Berkeley campus with some online instructional components, such as an Instructor Orientation and a student pre-arrival Welcome Webinar.

We are seeking qualified applicants who possess current subject matter expertise and teaching proficiency in the SNAP! programming language/coding software and in other introductory coding, computer science, data science, and artificial intelligence concepts.
General Duties
The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. Specific duties and expectations will vary depending on the method of instruction including: Classroom (In-Person).
- For synchronous instruction (classroom), duties include but are not limited to: syllabus development; assignment development; lesson planning for class meetings; preparing and submitting required texts and course materials; reviewing and updating Canvas course site; and delivering lectures, presentations, and learning activities for all required hours of instruction.

Palo Verde College (PVC) is a publicly supported two-year community college serving approximately 7,000 students annually through in-person, online, correspondence, and hybrid modalities. As part of this cluster hire, Palo Verde College seeks dedicated, equity-minded faculty to provide primary face-to-face instruction for incarcerated students at Ironwood State Prison (a level 2 facility). Additionally, faculty may also teach incarcerated learners across five additional CDCR sites through correspondence and Canvas-based instruction, as assigned.

WHAT FACULTY CAN EXPECT
Faculty hired through this cluster will:
- Have a primary teaching assignment at Ironwood State Prison, delivering face-to-face instruction in a level 2 secure institutional setting.
- Teach additional CDCR sites statewide through correspondence and Canvas-based instruction, or main campus students, as program needs require.
- Work within CDCR protocols, including clearance requirements, safety procedures, restricted materials, and technology limitations.

NATURE OF THE POSITION
The instructor will teach classes within the approved discipline(s). In addition, the instructor shall be responsible for creating, maintaining and updating curricula relevant to the assigned instructional area. Maria University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Computer Science to start July 1, 2026. Position description
The Department of Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology (NST) in the Rausser College of Natural Resources at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach courses in Nutritional Science and related topics, should an opening arise during the academic year and in the summer. The Department of Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology focuses on the metabolic biology of nutrients and toxicants in relation to human health and disease. Our research and curriculum span a breadth of topics, from delivery of nutrients to mammalian cells and their molecular functions, through the influence of genetics on diet-associated human disease, to programs and policies that address human and environmental health and safety.
The department also offers a Master in Nutritional Sciences & Dietetics graduate program, which combines a strong foundation in the biological and chemical sciences with specialized advanced coursework that focuses on nutrient/non-nutrient function and metabolism. The application of this field informs recommendations for dietary patterns to achieve optimum health and the treatment or prevention of disease conditions as well as food production and safety.
The department typically seeks two different types of lecturer positions when available; one is to teach the courses for the Master in Nutritional Sciences & Dietetics graduate program (NST Dietetic Lecturer) and the other one is to teach the non-dietetic courses in the department (NST Non-Dietetic Lecturer). General Duties:
We are seeking outstanding lecturers who can teach/co-teach small, medium, or large lecture and/or laboratory courses. The primary responsibilities for NST Lecturer positions include:

* Supervising Graduate Students Instructors (GSIs), if applicable.
