This role exists to support long-term aerospace production programs at Magellan Aerospace’s Haverhill facility. Grinding is a critical finishing process for flight-critical components, and this position plays a key role in achieving extremely tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:



  • Set up and operate CNC grinding equipment in a production aerospace environment
  • Grind parts to extremely tight tolerances (±0.00015)
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering instructions, and process documentation
  • Analyze and debug new grinding methods and processes
  • Perform calculations and verify dimensions using precision inspection equipment
  • Inspect surface finishes and ensure compliance with aerospace requirements

Overview:

What You Bring


  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent. An associate degree or trade school certificate is preferred.

  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and how it applies to the engineering provided drawing.
