Job Summary

Rush Commercial Construction, Inc., is currently seeking a proven advanced Senior Project Engineer to join a well-established regional construction company that specializes in Class A office, healthcare, multifamily developments and senior housing. The ideal Project Engineer is in charge of planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to a schedule. Their duties include upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project.

  • Able to use Timberline Estimating for take-off quantities, compile estimate content and put together small change order and TI estimates
  • Use design decision log to track impact of owner changes on estimates between phases (conceptual, DD and GMP), assisting PM
  • Help PM develop appropriate value-oriented options for cost savings or making project more constructible
  • Support subcontractor prequalification
  • Help PM attract and evaluate bids for the project, develop instructions to bidders
  • Develop knowledge around environmentally sound practices, consider LEED certification
  • Help meet permit submission requirements such as storm water discharge, site plans, logistic plans (in coordination with superintendent)
  • Make sure plans and specifications are complete and ready to bid and build from
  • Develop fundamental understanding of schedule as well as relations between schedule and procurement/submittal process. Help develop practical design and permitting schedules

Organizational Improvement

  • Coach, mentor, and train others (as SPE)
  • Consider storm water management or other certifications (SPE)

Project Engineer Site Office responsibilities

  • Understand prime contract
  • Helps PM draft subcontracts in timely and thorough manner (60 day goal)
  • Clean up all PCO’s monthly and convert to owner change (SPE)
  • Issues all subcontract CO’s within a month of getting approved owner change order (SPE). Be able to draft minor subcontract agreements as PE. Complete support estimates for PM
  • Own RFI process from initial identification of issue to closeout
  • Own submittal log and submittal review process, understand key coordination issues for each trade
  • Work to perfect delivery schedules with each sub, monitor compliance
  • Track unit price work quantities or T and M receipts (with appropriate PM approval and process)
  • Learn how to update and monitor progress against goals
  • Note potential impacts and delays of owner activities, particularly if PM not on site
  • Record minutes for all meetings, record all decisions made and responsibilities
  • Provide weekly progress report via e mail
  • Keep your eye out for safety violations and report to Superintendent (immediately)
  • Support billing process as requested
  • Develop understanding of cost control procedures
  • Elevate any issues of concern to PM and Superintendent
  • Promptly respond to owner questions and concerns

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000 (DOE)
  • Annual bonus opportunity based on company and individual performance.

Role Summary

The Senior CSA Superintendent leads field execution of Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) scope on mission-critical data center projects. This role owns day-to-day site leadership for CSA work: site logistics, safety, schedule, subcontractor coordination, quality, and turnover readiness. The CSA Superintendent drives predictable production, enforces standards, and ensures work is installed safely, correctly, and in sequence with MEP/commissioning needs.

This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, holds trade partners accountable, and keeps the project moving with clarity, urgency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Safety (Primary)

  • Lead CSA field operations while reinforcing a zero-incident culture.
  • Partner with project safety leadership and subcontractors to implement site-specific EH&S plans, JSAs/AHAs, permitting, and housekeeping standards.
  • Conduct regular safety walks; correct unsafe behaviors immediately and escalate as needed.

CSA Scope Execution (Primary)

  • Direct and coordinate all CSA activities including: site civil, earthwork, concrete, foundations, underground utilities (as applicable), structural steel, envelope, roofing, architectural buildout, doors/frames/hardware, exterior finishes, and interior buildout.
  • Ensure CSA work supports MEP rough-in, equipment setting paths, commissioning access, and turnover sequencing (clearances, access panels, curbs, housekeeping pads, etc.).
  • Maintain strong daily communication with MEP superintendents to avoid trade stacking and rework.

Schedule & Production Management (Primary)

  • Own CSA short-interval planning (daily/weekly) and support pull planning with measurable commitments.
  • Track manpower, production rates, constraints, and deliveries; proactively communicate schedule risks and recovery plans.
  • Align CSA milestones to overall project milestones (dry-in, permanent power readiness support, white space readiness, turnover phases).

Quality Control (Primary)

  • Enforce CSA quality standards and installation tolerances; drive β€œbuild it right the first time.”
  • Lead and document quality walks; manage deficiency logs and punch lists to closure.
  • Ensure clean build practices aligned with data center requirements (dust control, protection of installed work, critical space readiness).

Logistics & Site Control (Primary)

  • Manage CSA laydown, access routes, lifting plans coordination, concrete/steel deliveries, material staging, and housekeeping.
  • Coordinate sitewide logistics with the General Contractor/CM and other scopes to keep the job moving without congestion.

Coordination & Communication (Primary)

  • Lead/participate in key field meetings: subcontractor coordination, foreman huddles, look-aheads, constructability reviews, and progress walks.
  • Communicate issues early with clear options, impacts, and recommended paths forward.
  • Coordinate with AHJ/inspectors for CSA-related inspections and closeouts.

Procurement Support (Supporting)

  • Track CSA long-lead items (steel, precast, envelope systems, roofing, doors/hardware, specialty architectural items).
  • Confirm lead times, delivery windows, and readiness of areas for install.

Turnover & Closeout (Primary)

  • Drive CSA punch, closeout, and turnover readiness by area/phase.
  • Coordinate turnover requirements with PM/QAQC/commissioning teams: as-builts, O&M where applicable, attic stock, warranties, test reports, inspection sign-offs.
  • Ensure spaces are ready for commissioning activities and operational turnover (clean, labeled, accessible, complete).

Leadership & Culture (Primary)

  • Be the leader in the room: set expectations, model accountability, and build strong trade partner relationships.
  • Promote Weeks standards: proactive problem solving, high tempo execution, and respectful coordination.
  • Mentor junior superintendents/field engineers and help develop consistent field processes.

The Sr Mechanical Superintendent leads field execution of mechanical scope on mission-critical data center projects. This role owns day-to-day onsite leadership for mechanical activities: safety, subcontractor coordination, installation quality, schedule adherence, testing readiness, and turnover support. RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:
