Job Brief

We are seeking a Junior Buyer to manage the purchasing process and collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role is also responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information within our ERP system.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock while minimizing excess and obsolescence
  • Generate and manage purchase orders based on demand, forecasts, and inventory targets
  • Review and validate supplier order confirmations, ensuring accuracy in pricing, lead times, and terms
  • Proactively follow up on open orders, backorders, and past-due shipments; communicate status internally
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, delivery, pricing discrepancies, and returns
  • Support supplier performance improvement initiatives related to cost, lead time, and reliability
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through sourcing, negotiation, and order optimization
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within the ERP system (pricing, lead times, supplier info, etc.)
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and operations to support customer demand and resolve supply issues


Qualifications/Desired Skills:

  • 1–3 years of purchasing, buying, or supply chain experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, basic formulas, data organization)
  • Experience working with ERP systems is a plus
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with suppliers and internal teams
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues
  • Basic understanding of inventory management, lead times, and purchasing fundamentals
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial products is a plus
