The Care Companion (CC) provides continuous observation of assigned patients, under the direction and supervision of a Professional Registered Nurse, including providing developmentally appropriate stimulation and responsive caregiving, verbally redirecting the patient from engaging in at-risk behaviors and summoning the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Additionally, the CC can provide developmental support to the patient based on direct instructions from a La Rabida patient care provider.
- Provides continuous monitoring and observation of patients; coordinates with the Registered Nurse (RN) on relief efforts when leaving the patient room in order to maintain constant patient observation
- Maintains visual observation of patient at all times; immediately summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance; seeks help or advice if patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others
- Participates in a collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues, and ensures safe patient environment; seeks assistance with removal of any potential safety hazard from room and reports findings to the RN
- Participates in hand-off of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patients when arriving on units and upon completion of shift assignment
- As assigned by the RN or CNA or other patient care provider, may assist patient with activities such as eating, cleaning, walking, brushing teeth/hair, comfort holding, maintaining daily routine/schedule, play and interaction, etc.
- When there is not a specific patient in need of continuous monitoring, there will be re-assignment to inpatient or outpatient areas to assist with other patients or families who have developmental needs, emotional support needs, personal care needs and/or support for medical care being provided.

The Program Supervisor is responsible for promoting a child-focused, trauma-informed, supportive environment at the Childrenβs Advocacy Center by providing program oversight, conducting supervision with staff and interns, and providing direct services to children and families.
- Supervise and direct assigned staff in the performance of their duties and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Oversee the coordination, advocacy, and forensic interviewing services at the center, ensuring the program complies with NCA accreditation and grant contractual requirements.
- Assist in screening, interviewing, and selecting new hire candidates.
- Responsible for training, oversight, and onboarding for assigned staff members.
- Provide twice weekly supervision, at minimum, to assigned staff members. Supervision will include review of progress on assigned tasks, reflecting on the impact of case and team dynamics, progress toward performance goals, and self-care.
- Perform continuous quality improvement by observing each supervisee in the performance of their duties for one case twice a year, highlighting strengths and opportunities for growth.
- Coordinate quality assurance efforts through chart audits.
- Create a trauma-informed work environment.
- Build relationships with and strengthen the commitment to the CAC model among multidisciplinary team members, which may include problem solving, conflict resolution, and outreach with multidisciplinary team members and supervisors.
- Provide direct service to clients as needed, which may include intake coordination, conducting forensic interviews, providing advocacy services and follow up contact to non-offending caregivers, and providing multidisciplinary team coordination.
- Maintain all needed trainings/certifications in forensic interviewing, family advocacy, and MDT Coordination, including attending and participating in structured peer review at least four times a year, participating in ongoing education in the field of child maltreatment, advocacy, facilitation, and/or forensic interviewing consisting of a minimum of 8 contact hours every 2 years. (See NCA 2023 Accreditation Standards, Standard 1, Essential Components A and B; Standard 3, Essential Components A and B; and Standard 4, Essential Components A and B.)
- Provide after-hours emergency advocacy or forensic interviewing on a rotating basis, on-call basis.
- Attend required hospital and program trainings.
- Support the CAC in meeting the programβs Key Performance Indicators.

Education: MSW or MA required. LSW or LPC or LSW or LPC-eligible required.
Licensure/Certification: LSW or LPC or LSW or LPC-eligible required. Child First certification preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Three years of experience within the field of child abuse/child welfare and knowledge of child development and psychological impacts of childhood trauma is required. Must have knowledge of child welfare field. Experience and specialized training in investigative interviewing is required. Prior CAC experience is required. The successful candidate must also have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and computer skills. Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.

Staff Attorney (Immigration)
ABOUT THE POSITION
LSC seeks an attorney to represent children in immigration proceedings. Our immigration clients are primarily monolingual Spanish speakers and also include Central American and Mexican indigenous youth as well as youth of African descent. We welcome applicants at all levels and provide opportunities for training and leadership. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
Β· Conducting legal screenings, client interviews, and factual and legal investigations, counseling clients, developing case strategies and case plans, and engaging in oral and written advocacy as part of representing children in immigration matters (primarily Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, Asylum, T and U visa cases)
Β· Representing non-detained youth in Immigration Court proceedings and related state court matters (probate guardianship and dependency as needed), as well as applications before U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) and cases before Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
Β· Engaging in advocacy efforts on behalf of children, including conducting community presentations for children, families, schools, and community organizations
Β· Representing LSC in local and national coalitions and collaboratives as needed

Qualifications:
Β· 0-4 years experience as a licensed attorney. SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary scale is non-negotiable and is based on years of relevant full-time experience as an attorney, ranging from $78,13 years). The Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant is responsible for processing laboratory test requests by collecting specimens and entering required data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and Clinical Information System. This position provides reports and related information to clients, collects and prepares specimens for reference laboratory testing, and performs Point-of-Care (POC) testing as assigned.
Responsibilities include:
Performing venipuncture and collecting patient and occasional employee blood samples in accordance with safety guidelines.
Conducting waived and Point-of-Care (POC) testing, entering and verifying results in the LIS.
Processing inpatient and outpatient lab orders, collecting specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Role Description
The Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) will create and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for children diagnosed with autism. Childrenβs Nebraska, with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine (UNCOM), is currently recruiting a Division Chief of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. This individual will lead a division with 27 pediatric critical care medicine faculty, including the PICU and Cardiac Critical Care subsections. They will support division membersβ professional development, collaborate with faculty throughout the organization on academic and research projects, fulfill customary administrative duties, and share clinical care responsibilities at two sites. This leader will be responsible for developing and implementing the divisionβs clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals and aligning those goals with the institutionβs strategic plan.
The successful candidate will be board certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine with extensive ICU experience, preferably in a leadership role.
