  • Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for all aspects of diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Specials Suite. Performs technical duties utilizing various types of equipment to image selected vascular structures or therapeutic intervention. Job Summary of the Special Procedures Technologist

Under the leadership of the Lead Interventional Technologist, this role provides technical assistance to all physicians working in the Interventional Suites with both diagnostic and interventional procedures. Responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within the Imaging department. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization and stewardship of all technical, physical and human resources. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients in area, ranging from neonate to geriatric. Participates in performance improvement activities within the Interventional department and participates in CQI activities. This position requires compliance with all Joint Commission, state, federal, Corporate Radiation Right, and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Must possess critical thinking skills and strive to create and maintain great relationships with all facility stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Special Procedures Technologist
  • Assist with all procedures performed in the Interventional Suite.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with all equipment within the Interventional Suite procedure room including but not limited to: Fluoroscopy, Pan Table, Med Rad injector, Monitors, Ultrasound Unit, Control panels for digital acquisition and image transfer.
  • Demonstrate understanding of supplies used for specified procedure
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Renal, Neuro, Peripheral and Vascular anatomy
  • Demonstrate sterile technique as appropriate and maintain sterile field while performing scrub position
  • Prepare patient and room for exams while managing wires and other multiple components required for procedure.
  • Perform role of circulator during procedure including: pull supplies, altering technique as phase of exam requires, man and operate injector, communicate to patient family/unit progress, and answer physician calls/pages during procedure.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Respiratory Therapy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience in respiratory services, home medical equipment (HME), DME/RT, post‑acute care, or related healthcare environment.
  • Experience with Brightree and Nikko cloud‑based software platform for HME/DME
  • Branch, Multi‑site or regional operations management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading market launches, business expansion, and pre and post-acquisition integration.
  • Strong understanding of respiratory therapy modalities, regulatory requirements, and clinical operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams across dispersed geographies.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and operational problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and change‑management capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Significant experience managing RT operations.
  • Experience integrating acquired sites into centralized/shared‑services models.
  • Prior experience with technology implementations, EMR/operational systems transitions, or workflow redesign.
