As an Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU) RN at MercyOne, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice. Utilizing critical thinking, the RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-focused care for patients undergoing surgery or procedures in an outpatient setting. You will lead a collaborative team, supervising and coordinating care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and other nursing team members to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
Schedule:
Part time, 24 hours per week

Education:
Associate degree required, BSN preferred. No prior experience required. Current Iowa RN license, BLS, Mandatory Reporter. ACLS

Position: Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN: Occupational Health
Location: Cedar Falls, IA
Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day shift, M-F
Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Required:
· Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
· MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
OR
· Must have successfully completed accredited LPN program.
· LPN License in the state of Iowa.

- Analyze records for completeness and patient history.
- Prepare exam/procedure rooms and equipment for patient care.
- Greet, identify patient and prepare patient for exam while protecting patient’s privacy.
- Review/document current medication and allergies
- Take vital signs, obtain chief complaints, history, and documents.
Hours/Schedule:
1.0 FTE (80 hours biweekly)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Medical Assistant Diploma or LPN/RN license.
- 6-month experience in a clinic setting preferred.
- Intermediate language, intermediate math, intermediate reasoning ability; basic computer skills; ability to work with diverse groups of people; ability to effectively interact with other health care professionals and the public; ability to present a positive image; ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
