The Vehicle Condition Assessor (VCA) position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by accurately collecting, recording, and communicating information about customer appraisals to Buyers, Sr. Buyers and Purchasing Managers for analysis. VCA's assist with customer transfers, complete lot merchandising activities, secure vehicles, and assist the Merchandising team with additional daily functions as needed. A VCA may also perform various wholesale auction responsibilities.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate vehicle condition assessments by collecting, recording, and communicating all required information (including cosmetic, specific mechanical conditions, options, etc.) about customer appraisals for a Buyer, Senior Buyer, or Purchasing Manager's analysis.
- Accurate optioning of vehicles during assessments and CarMax inventory.
- Perform quality and timely imaging of Retail and Wholesale vehicles for CarMax websites.
- Complete vehicle secures, including reading and verifying appraisal entry information for any discrepancies.
- Complete vehicle walkarounds including communicating information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist Merchandising Department with maintaining inventory and executing customer transfers.
- Complete final condition verifications on inventory acquired through online customer channels.
- Assist in the preparation and operation of the wholesale auction.
- Partner with Inventory and Sales Departments to conduct lot merchandising, as needed.
- Assist the Merchandising Department with various other projects and office duties, as needed.
- Assist with on-boarding of new associates.
- Complete assigned tasks independently and follow up after completion.

Under general direction from the Business Office Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast paced, team-oriented environment through the facilitation of the sales, auction, and appraisal process. - Assists store personnel and all store departments in their daily functions while adhering to CarMax guidelines

The Analyst, Software Configuration is responsible for the configuration, maintenance and support of software solutions for the company systems (ALFA) for CarMax Auto Finance (CAF). This position is involved in the complete software configuration life cycle and is responsible for ensuring that software meets CarMax® quality standards. - 5+ years’ experience building enterprise-level solutions with Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud technologies
- Demonstrated ability to provide vision for the Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, and Machine-Learning spaces and inspire teams towards the future
- Proven ability to strategically prioritize by balancing business delivery and value generating work with technical debt and engineering excellence
- Proficient in developing in Python
- Experience with scripting languages such as shell scripts
- Experience in DevOps practices, testing frameworks, and CI/CD

The Analyst II, Technical Support and Reporting is critical to the company delivering that iconic customer experience by providing data analysis business intelligence and data to support to operational strategies.
What you will do
- Conduct root cause analysis, solving basic to complex data challenges
- Leverage a variety of systems and databases to retrieve data
- Become a subject matter expert in system data and leverage that knowledge to identify critical data elements, translating those into key business metrics
- Maintain existing business reporting and monitoring dashboards for all areas of CAF to support the business in driving execution and managing performance
- Assist in the design and development of enhancements to reports and dashboards to transform the way CAF interacts with data
- Learn and utilize different tools, processes, and services, and work with mentors and peers to developed advanced technical and analytical skills
- Provide front line support on system’s data related questions or issues

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in an analytical or technical major
- 1-3 years of experience in an analytical or technical role
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Experience required in SQL and DBMS technology; Snowflake preferred; Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other major data application acceptable
- Experience preferred in:
- SSRS/PowerBI
- Tableau
- Python
- GitHub or other version control software
Work Location And Arrangement: This role will be based out of Atlanta, GA CarMax Auto Finance Office (Kennesaw, GA). Associates will work onsite 5 days per week.
