You will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body. 

Under the supervision of a Radiologist, your role performs x-ray therapy on patients and explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns. 

Your role will serve patients in our emergency department, patients in our hospital, and outpatient patients in need of services as well. 

You will perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric. 

Your role will be responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.  

What qualifications you will need:

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.
• Must maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. 
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. 
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. 
• Prefer 2 years’ recent acute care experience. 

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. 
• Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Job Summary and Qualifications 

The Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge and skills in the care of patients. Each service also requires specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patients. The Registered Nurse may be asked to float to the Well Baby Nursery or Pediatrics, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Rose Medical Center. Perform Lab testing as assigned based on protocol of each test, documenting results and communicating critical's as defined. Complete competency as required. Educational records (diploma or transcript) are mandatory for staff performing non-waived testing. What qualifications you will need:

• Current BCLS through AHA or ARC
• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure
• Bachelor Science Nursing or Bachelors degree in health related field required. Graduate of a certified school of nursing
• Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience preferred
• Two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
• Able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients.
• Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.

• RN experience in ICU; may consider Stepdown/PCU/Telemetry recent experience at 6 months minimum.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support / ACLS
• Basic Cardiac Life Support / BLS
• (RN) Registered Nurse License in Colorado or Multi State
• Registered Nurse Diploma
