Armed Security Contractors

Cardinal Point Security Group is seeking Armed Security Contractors for special fill-in details as needed in the 5-County Southeastern PA area. Primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and protection of visitors and staff members.

Pay:

This is a 1099 contractor position with a pay range of $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on contract with each client.

Location: 5-County area of Southeastern Pennsylvania

Schedule:

Weekdays, evenings, weekends

4-hour minimums

Fill-ins for special, pop-up details as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Prior law enforcement experience is required AND five years of experience as an armed security officer
• Graduate of a Municipal or State Police Academy. A graduate of a Federal Police Academy, Military Police, or Military Master of Arms may be considered
• Possess a valid PA Act 235 certification AND possess your own firearm AND a Level 3 holster
• Able to work well under pressure.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Consent to a drug screen and completing criminal background investigation.
• No felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
• Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)
• Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)

• Must possess a professional and courteous demeanor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Patrol facilities and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
• Access Control and Monitor CCTV as required
• Monitoring facilities throughout scheduled shift
• Report on maintenance issues for appropriate personnel
• Function as First responder for emergencies.
• Identify and report suspicious activity.
• Completes daily activity reports and incident reports as required
• Incident management
• Cultivate positive relationships with staff and visitors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Upon engagement for any detail, a sub-contractor agreement must be signed. As a 1099 contractor, you are solely responsible for your federal taxes and any applicable deductions. Cardinal Point Security Group will report your total earnings to the IRS

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Tech contributes to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. What you will do in this role: 

• Demonstrate necessary practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the role of the surgical technician in accordance with Association of Surgical Technologists 
• Assist in preparing the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments 
• Ensure that surgical asepsis is maintained in the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings 
• Assist in the turnover of the O.R. suites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces 
• Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, "pulling cases" accurately, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available 

Qualifications you will need: 

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred) 
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center) 
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferred 
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment ***Online certification not acceptable

• Patrol school facilities and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
• Incident Management and verbal de-escalation
• Maintains orderly flow of foot traffic in the hallways
• Monitors restrooms throughout the day
• Report on maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel
• Act as First responder for emergencies
• Stands post at secondary locations as required
• Identify and report suspicious activity

Qualifications

• Must possess prior experience as a Municipal Police Officer OR State Trooper
• Experience as Military Police and/or Master at Arms will also be considered
• Five years of experience as an armed security officer
• Must possess a valid PA Act 235 Certification
• Must possess a valid PA Concealed Carry Permit
• Must possess your own firearm
• Must be able to pass firearms qualification course
• Able to work well under pressure
• High School Diploma or GED
• Consent to a drug screen and completing criminal background investigation
• Consent to obtain required clearances for working in school
• No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude
• Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)
• Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)
• Reliable means of transportation
• Must possess a professional and courteous demeanor

Job Title: Operations Manager

Great Point Properties is seeking an organized and motivated Operations Manager to join our team. This role supports our sales team of 27 agents and two principals, and collaborates daily with the administrative staff to maintain office organization and oversee the vacation rental program.

The ideal candidate enjoys a small-business culture and is eager to learn about all facets of the company and collaborate across departments. 

Responsibilities

• Handle daily phone coverage and route calls appropriately
• Maintain office communications, organization, and supplies 
• Monitor GPP salespeople’s licensure, membership in NAREB, and LINK
• Manage and oversee Great Point Properties’ extensive vacation rental program, including serving as the liaison between our office and website developer
• Assist in implementing new systems to improve efficiencies
• Assist agents in compiling sales listing information
• Oversee compliance with local and state permitting rental regulations
• Daily communication with homeowners and tenants to update our rental database
• Assist rental agents with lease payment and processing
• Oversee the entry of new rental and sales listings
• Work closely with the business operations team to facilitate accounting of transactions 
• Work with the marketing director on assisting with sales opinions

Qualifications

• Interest in real estate and vacation rentals
• Experience with Mac, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite is a plus
• Obtaining a Massachusetts real estate license within 90 days - tuition expenses paid by GPP

Position Details

• Full-time, in-office position - Monday through Friday 
• Tuesday through Saturday from June 1 to Labor Day
• Available outside business hours for unique/time-sensitive matters
• Salary dependent on experience and/or demonstrated ability to learn
• Health insurance after 60 days (80% paid by GPP)
• Paid time off - 15 days on an accrued basis
