Requirements

Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Float Pool Radiology Tech, under the direction of a Physician, you will perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures in compliance with established protocols to promote positive patient outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities
  • Complete your duties according to the requirements of each procedure requiring radiological support
  • Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling procedures according to physician’s preference card
  • Test and monitor equipment for proper working condition
  • Follow principles of aseptic technique in performing duties during the procedure
  • Perform required maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning care, storage, and calibration procedures
  • Maintain adequate supplies to provide immediate availability during the procedure

Qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of accredited school of radiology
  • Minimum two (2) years required; preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting
  • ARRT (R), BLS required; state license as required; Specialty certifications may be required as per state guidelines and/or modality

Job Summary and QualificationsCardiac Cath Lab Tech’s demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients served. They are able to scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Additionally, they are responsible for recording and monitoring these cases, as well as understanding hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings. 


What you will do:

  • Positions patients and adjusts immobilization devices.
  • Explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
  • Moves x-ray equipment into specified position and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as ma, kvp, time and distance.
  • Operates mobile x-ray equipment in operating room, emergency department, or at patient's bedside.
  • Scrubs and assists Radiologists in surgical setting.
  • Maintains and calibrates equipment.
  • Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Assists with transporting patients.
  • Supervises, plans, and reviews the work of technical staff in multiple imaging sections on a daily basis. (Serves as department coordinator when needed)
  • Trains, orients and mentors staff members.
  • Provides safe environment for administering of contrast material.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography
  • Ky Licensure (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
  • Graduate of an accredited program of Radiography
  • 1 year post graduate experience preferred
  • Willing to take call
  • Ability to remain within 30-minute call radius during designated call schedule.
