Junior Account Executive, Sports & Entertainment
JONESWORKS, strategy-driven communications, marketing, and management agency, is seeking a driven, creative, and highly organized Junior Account Executive to join our Sports & Entertainment team in our New York City office.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for public relations, a strong work ethic, and previous experience supporting teams in building brand audiences, increasing awareness, and engaging consumers across every touchpoint of new and traditional media.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination and management of programming to strategically position clients
- Help develop innovative, results-driven public relations and marketing programs to support client objectives, launches, activations, etc.
- Assist with vetting incoming client and media opportunities
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and editing internal and external materials such as pitches, press releases, agendas, etc.
- On-site assistance at relevant client events, content shoots, red carpets, etc.
- Research relevant media outlets for client outreach and create and update media lists to maintain accurate contact information
- Actively networks with media across entertainment, lifestyle, business, trade, and consumer outlets and maintains strong relationships

Requirements:
- 1-2 years of relevant PR or internship experience

Carowinds
is the premier entertainment destination in the Southeast. During the summer, we entertain guests with live bands, hugs from their favorite characters, and amazing acrobatics. In the fall, we put the “wee” in Halloween during Tricks and Treats for younger guests and scare the yell out of guests during our nighttime event, SCarowinds. And since 2017, families from across the Carolinas have made new memories during Winterfest with 10 shows, over 20 unique street performers, and of course, the man in red himself.

Responsibilities:
Assists performers during shows with costume changes and maintains costume appearance.
Works with supervisors to maintain quality costumes for assigned production, including maintenance and cleaning of costumes and equipment.
Prepares the facility for each day's activities including cleaning dressing areas, repairs and ironing for each show.
Assists performers with costume changes and hanging costumes on hangers after each change.
Stores costumes at the end of the day and launders and/or repairs.
Qualifications:

What you’ll do:
- Lead end-to-end campaign production, building clear timelines, deliverable lists, and milestones for AV and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Manage campaign budgets and forecasts, align spend with creative and marketing priorities, and build contingency plans to keep work moving.
- Oversee production and delivery of trailers, TV spots, social content, digital and paid media assets, broadcast and international versions—ensuring everything is on spec, on time, and on budget.
- Partner closely with creative and finishing/post-production teams to prioritize assets, manage workflows, and adapt plans as creative decisions evolve.
- Proactively troubleshoot production and post-production challenges, escalating issues as needed to keep campaigns on track.
- Build and manage relationships with vendors and agencies, from onboarding and scoping through day-to-day project management and invoicing.
- Provide ongoing visibility into campaign status, resource use, and spend, clearly communicating trade-offs and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic partner to creative leadership, bringing operational rigor, scalable processes, and production insights to support campaign strategy.
- Surface key decisions, risks, and blockers early, driving clarity, alignment, and accountability across internal and external teams.
What you bring:
- 10+ years in creative production, project management, or marketing operations, ideally within entertainment, media, or creative agencies.
- Proven experience running multi-channel marketing campaigns across video, social, digital, paid media, and international formats.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end AV and post-production workflows, especially for trailers and short-form content.
- Track record of successfully leading high-profile campaigns with large budgets and tight timelines in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

About the School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies

The College of Design at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites nominations and applications for the position of the founding Chair of the School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies in Atlanta, Georgia. We are seeking a visionary, creative, and entrepreneurial academic leader who will develop a nationally and internationally recognized center of excellence for studying the intersection of arts practice and emerging technologies.
The chair will have the opportunity to shape a new school that will expand Georgia Tech's academic and research activities and reputation at the intersection of technology and the arts, with the opportunity for substantial impact within Georgia Tech, the state of Georgia, and beyond. - Manage academic, fiscal, and personnel matters and ensure the alignment of the School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies with the strategic objectives of the College and Institute;
- Maintain an active role in the academic life of the school by contributing personally to teaching and research;
- Create strong interdisciplinary relationships with other schools within the College of Design and across campus;
- Foster an active research culture;
- Elevate awareness of the school and its programs across the campus, as well as with prospective students, alumni, and community, arts, and industry leaders through relationship building as well as public presentations and speaking engagements;
- Work with community and corporate leaders' including through the College of Design Dean's Advisory Board and bring a demonstrated passion for community engagement and fundraising, with a commitment to building lasting relationships that support the School and the College's mission and future growth.
- Develop curricular plans for growth, including growing the major, developing a minor and/or certificate, and envisioning higher-level degrees.
- Manage space and resources to accommodate growth and ensure technology expansion as technological landscapes change.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a terminal degree or professional equivalency related to the intersection of arts, entertainment, and creative technologies with a distinguished record of creative and/or scholarly achievement that typically qualifies for a tenured position at the rank of full professor.
Preferred Qualifications
The candidate must maintain an active commitment to the creative industries, to the technologies that support them (especially film, gaming, and/or immersive media), and to the promotion of excellence in teaching and research and must have the ability to engage with community and industry leaders and work effectively with faculty, students, and administrators. Significant experience in academic or research administration is desirable. We especially encourage candidates with proven or emerging skills in industry partnerships and/or fundraising to apply.
