DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembles components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.

- May perform duties as required in assembly of electronic equipment such as cables, harnesses, chassis, and printed circuit boards; or may perform mechanical assembly of panels, LRU's, batteries, and servo motors as it pertains to cable assembly.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble and test experimental/prototype assemblies or subassemblies according to specifications.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

What you'll do
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day underground and aerial construction activities, assigning crews and resources to meet production and schedule targets.

- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members and new hires on construction methods, safe work practices, proper use of tools and equipment, and company procedures.

- Conduct regular inspections of tools, vehicles, poles, anchors, vaults, and temporary works; identify and correct defects or hazards immediately.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure all Supply Chain work is performed accurately and timely:
- Routine monitoring of actual volume by major product group
- Routine calculations of lead times, equipment efficiencies, and rolling volume projections by major product group

As the Outside Plant Construction Technician III in Saint George, UT, you will assist the Senior Outside Plant Construction Tech in overseeing construction and maintenance of PON/fiber network communications facilities in TDS Telecom serving areas. This role assists with project management and coordination of internal and external resources. It also ensures the team operates according to safety protocols.
Training:
As an Outside Plant Construction Technician III, you will have the opportunity to obtain a Class A CDL through our in-house training program. You will attend safety training at one of our new facilities where you will also be trained on Pole Climbing and Bucket Trucks. On-the-job training includes exposure to various construction equipment including Directional Drill Rigs, Mini Excavators, Trenchers, and Locators. Fiber optic training includes Fusion Splicing, Fault Detection, and exposure to OTDRs and other advanced testing equipment.

Construction Equipment Maintenance
- Service, clean, maintain, and repair equipment.
- Check DOT logs and review condition of trucks and trailers on job site to ensure all vehicles meet DOT standards.
- Report any issues to Sr Outside Plant Construction Tech.
- Complete all related paperwork in a timely manner.
- Assist Field Services technicians, as needed.

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of construction equipment operation utilizing various underground and aerial construction equipment such as directional drills, trencher/plow/rocksaw, backhoe, or bucket trucks -OR- current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
- Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines in order to meet TDS’s business needs including but not limited to our obligations to our customers and to our customers’ needs.

Role Summary
The Telecommunications Designer / RCDD is responsible for estimating, designing, and managing the installation of large low-voltage systems for commercial projects. This includes structured cabling, fiber optics, access control, and video surveillance. The role requires hands-on experience in low-voltage system design, accurate material and labor estimation, project coordination, and ensuring compliance with industry and building standards. The position blends technical expertise with project management, communication, and vendor coordination.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform site surveys to understand project sites and customer solutions.
- Develop accurate bill of materials and obtain pricing to provide cabling solutions.
- Acquire project documents, perform take-offs, review specifications, and estimate materials and labor accurately.
- Price materials with vendors, secure pricing from sub-contractors when applicable, and prepare a complete estimate and scope of work using company software.
- Prepare and type detailed cost proposals with scope of work.
- Manage awarded projects and coordinate with project foremen throughout installation.
- Prepare and submit post-installation as-builts and submittals.
Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years’ experience estimating large low-voltage systems including structured cabling, fiber optics, access control, and video surveillance.
- Must have RCDD or equivalent accreditation or experience.
- Solid knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, communication standards, and installation best practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, notes, and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.

JOB SUMMARY
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Performs a variety of fundamental field engineering tasks under general supervision of a senior level engineer, involved in the installation, operations, testing and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems.
Conducts research and reference reading to assist higher-level engineers in obtaining technical information and keeps informed of currently approved standards, codes, and procedures applied to engineering specialty.
Performs engineering or other highly technical tasks that are varied and may be somewhat difficult in character.
Plans and carries out successive engineering steps and resolves technical problems by standard practices and techniques, such as tolerance studies and design calculations.
Supports projects with limited scope or parts of more complex projects with detailed instructions on the intent and scope of the documents to be prepared.
Generate sections of design specifications of more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex projects.
Using computer-assisted test methods, conducts laboratory investigations on equipment or systems.
Assists in preparation of reports, correspondence or technical studies.
Studies currently approved standards, codes, and procedures applied to the engineering specialty.
Prepare, deliver and submit technical presentations for in-process design and review meetings.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS The candidate must meet the following requirements: Experience working with enterprise IT hardware or digital video projection systems or aircraft simulators or military aircraft instrumentation/avionics.
Interpret building blueprints, electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience using test equipment such as: Ethernet cable tester, Digital multi meter, fiber inspection scope, ethernet/fiber cable analyzer.
Must be able to create basic documents using Microsoft Office Suite and effectively communicate inside and outside of the team using Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
Must be familiar with the safe and proper use of common hand tools.
Must be able to work independently or in a team environment.
Must be able to perform research and apply knowledge to develop new technician policies and procedures.
Must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds and work in a hands-on environment.
Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a current state issued driver's license.
The candidate should meet most of the following requirements: Experience with Windows Server operating systems.
Build and test shielded Ethernet cables and single/multi-mode fiber lines.
Troubleshoot and maintain Projection/video systems.
Basic computer networking skills with some administrative tasks.
Familiarity with Linux (preferably Red Hat) command line and desktop interfaces Familiarity with HOTAS (hands on throttle and stick) style flight controls Familiarity with KVM consoles/switches, as well as remote management protocols (rdp, ssh, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE Associate's Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 7 or more years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field.
Must have a professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles, and a familiarity with related engineering fields.
Must have a practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions.
Incumbent must have a valid, current state driver's license.
Must qualify for and maintain a Security Clearance.

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead ground‑up and brownfield data center construction for a major enterprise client. This is a hands-on, field‑driven role owning delivery from site prep to commissioning and turnover.
What You’ll Do- Lead multi‑phase data center construction projects end‑to‑end
- Drive scheduling, budgeting, risks, and change control
- Manage daily onsite coordination with GCs, trades, cabling + security vendors
- Oversee rack/stack, structured cabling, power/cooling readiness, and equipment logistics
- Support Level 1–5 commissioning and ensure QA/QC across all trades
- Ensure safety, compliance, security systems deployment, and documentation
- Provide clear status updates, dashboards, and executive communication
- 5+ years data center construction or large‑scale infrastructure delivery
- Strong experience across MEP, cabling, security systems, and commissioning
- Proven success taking projects from pre‑con through operations handoff
- Excellent onsite leadership, vendor management, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Hyperscale/cloud data center experience
- Commissioning/IST and Tier‑level reliability experience
