A well-known fashion brand is seeking a Freelance Technical Designer to support their team on sweaters, wovens (basic to structured), and some cut & sew knits. This is an onsite opportunity in Downtown Los Angeles with an ASAP start.

Responsibilities:

• Support technical design across sweaters, wovens, and cut & sew knits

• Update tech packs, measurements, and construction details

• Participate in fit sessions and provide clear, actionable feedback

• Partner with Design, Production, and Pattern teams to ensure fit accuracy

• Track sample revisions through development and production

• Support quality and consistency through final approvals

In this role, you will leverage consumer brand expertise and a passion for tactical, thoughtful consumer design and storytelling to guide clients and internal teams in creating and curating cutting-edge work. While this is a senior-level opportunity to define creative direction and strategy with clients, no one in this organization is completely hands off when it comes to ideation and tactical creation. You will touch on all ends of the design process, establishing visions that guide output with client partners and internal teams, and keeping agency creatives aligned to ensure client satisfaction. You will oversee creative output on a wide variety of platforms, including print and digital design, video and ad production, OOH and more. • Have sufficient physical mobility or agility to be able to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies and sufficient dexterity to disassemble, clean and adjust meat department equipment or to clear label jams, etc.
• Be able to work in an environment that has fresh fruits, vegetables, and latex gloves without negative allergic consequences that adversely affect performance.

• The work environment includes continuous duties in refrigerated cutting rooms and storage areas (relatively high humidity) with occasional duties in frozen food storage boxes maintained at temperatures as low as 20 degrees (Fahrenheit) below zero.
• The work environment includes working on surfaces that can be wet and slippery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the efficient flow of food in the kitchen while maintaining levels of food safety and sanitation to Rib Crib standards.
• Washes, peels, cuts and prepares vegetables and side items.
• Cleans, cuts, prepares and smokes meats and poultry.
• Knows how to correctly measure food weights and portion sizes.
• Carries pans, containers, and trays of food to and from work stations, smokers and refrigerators.
• Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils, segregates and removes garbage at shift change or when necessary, and steam cleans or hoses garbage containers.
• Knowledgeable in the use of cleaning products and how to use them safely according to instructions.
• Observes safety procedures with regards to the use of kitchen supplies and equipment both correctly and safely throughout the shift.
• Demonstrates a willingness to assume any responsibility or perform any task (shift to assist) regardless of nature to demonstrate that teamwork is part of the operating culture. All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

1. Capable of reading kitchen prep books and manuals as required to prepare food recipes.

2. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

3. Proficient use of restaurant equipment including but not limited to such things as convection ovens, grills, fryers, smokers, steam tables, microwaves, etc.

Physical & Mental Requirements: Position requires the employee to perform most of the work from a standing position for long periods of time frequently walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, cutting, carrying, kneeling, or stooping.
