• Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon (required)
  
• Fellowship?trained in Orthopedic Surgery (required)
  
• Active Iowa medical license OR active IMLC eligibility (required)
  
• Minimum 1 year experience in inpatient orthopedic surgery and on-call coverage (required)
  
• Ability to cover the specified on-call blocks (required)
  
• Clean malpractice and background history (required)
  
• Comfortable documenting care in Epic and collaborating with interdisciplinary hospital teams (nurses, APPs, consultants)

• Provide inpatient orthopedic surgery coverage, including trauma, consult services, and scheduled on-call orthopedics
  
• Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation for musculoskeletal patients of all ages
  
• Manage orthopedic trauma, infections, tumors, deformities, metabolic bone issues, injuries, and degenerative disease of the extremities and spine
  
• Deliver surgical and non-surgical care for hand, foot/ankle, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow conditions
  
• Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition for emergent orthopedic presentations per hospital policies
  
• Provide ICU-level orthopedic support as needed, following unit protocols
  
• Document timely and accurately in Epic; communicate treatment plans with nurses, APPs, and consulting services
