This position assists and provides IT services to internal customers located at our jobsites around the country. Support includes installation, documentation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals, as well as establishing standards and guidelines for supporting local and remote sites. As a Project Cost Engineer, you will assist in the development and management of the project financial strategy. You will be working directly with the project management team to manage the project budget, costs, change orders, pricing requests, billings, and forecasts. As the Project Manager (Mechanical Procurement), you will lead HVAC/mechanical procurement from award through closeout—executing the buyout strategy, managing vendor performance, and ensuring equipment and materials arrive on time and per contract. You will partner with Clayco project teams, design partners, and field leadership to coordinate submittals, releases, logistics, and change management while maintaining strong supplier relationships and driving favorable commercial outcomes.

• Develop and execute project-specific mechanical procurement strategies from award to closeout, aligned to schedule, budget, and project standards.
• Lead vendor sourcing, qualification, and negotiations; establish and maintain relationships with OEMs, reps, distributors, fabricators, and service partners.
• Manage contracts/purchase orders for mechanical scopes (equipment, materials, services); track compliance to terms, insurance, and deliverables.
• Coordinate and manage the submittal process (equipment, specialties, controls, startup requirements), including review cycles and release milestones.
• Own order management and expediting: monitor lead times, manufacturing progress, FATs (when applicable), shipping, storage, and just-in-time deliveries.
• Drive coordination with field teams on access, rigging/setting plans, sequencing, and site constraints; resolve delivery and installation conflicts early.
• Manage changes: evaluate impacts, price change orders, document scope, and coordinate approvals with vendors and the project team.
• Approve invoices as required; verify received quantities, freight, tax, and alignment to progress/billing terms.
• Support closeout: warranties, O&M manuals, as-built documentation handoff inputs, spare parts, training/startup documentation, and final supplier reconciliation.
• Assist in seeking, exploring, and securing new revenue and procurement opportunities across the mechanical supply base (volume agreements, preferred vendors).

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction and HVAC systems/equipment; able to interpret plans/specs and manage procurement deliverables end-to-end.
• 5+ years of procurement experience preferred with demonstrated success managing buyout through closeout; strong mechanical/HVAC background required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and schedules simultaneously, including long-lead equipment and logistics constraints.
• Strong commercial acumen: contract terms, negotiations, escalation, freight, warranty/service provisions, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills; proficiency with Excel and common PM/procurement platforms.

The Senior Project Engineer will be based on the construction project site and will provide high level support to the project staff to ensure quality and timely execution of design-build projects from design to completion. Multifamily Owner/Builder actively seeking a Lead Superintendent to lead Multifamily projects through to completion. Lead Superintendent will have the opportunity to work on site for projects throughout the Sarasota area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Superintendent will have a strong track record of completing Ground Up Multifamily Construction, ensuring their successful delivery within schedule and budget along with the ability to manage vendors, subcontractors, field staff throughout project.

Select Responsibilities:

• Provide field oversight for all phases of assigned construction projects
• Experience with Ground up multifamily projects (garden and podium style)
• Develop and manage project schedules.
• Manage subcontractor performance relationships.
• Be responsible for both the timeliness and total quality of assigned projects.

This key project leader for Clayco’s Field Operations team will oversee construction of 100MM - 500MM or more and will be assigned to the as the Construction Manager/Superintendent in the Life Sciences / Pharmaceuticals division.

The Specifics of the Role

• Responsible for the organization and direction of all on-site construction related activities and the primary contact for all project field activities.
• Ensure construction operations are in compliance with design, specifications, and that construction operations are completed on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
• Responsible for site management including management of construction subcontractors, professional staff to include field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and workforce services. Responsible for managing and maintaining detailed daily reports.
• Ensures the development and execution of project automation plan, environmental compliance plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, construction execution plan, and job-site work rules.
• Responsible for implementation of Clayco’s safety program, security, housekeeping, and fire protection on the construction site and ensures strict adherence Federal and State safety codes.

• Ensures the implementation of an effective community relations plan for the site.
• Ensures required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the affected work at site.
• Responsible and accountable for construction license reporting to include construction Logbook entries and required notifications for permit closure.
• Partners with the project management team for the implementation of cost savings methodologies in the Construction organization and the promotion of other continuous improvement processes.
• Ensures development and execution of strategies and plans for project automation, environmental compliance, safety, site surveying, non-manual staffing, contracting, labor strategy, construction execution, and job-site work rules.
• Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.
• Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager for all assignment of Superintendent and Foreman positions.
• Support Superintendent(s) throughout the duration of the job.
• Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman.
• Document project field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule, and provide to the project management team.
• Ensure subcontractor requests for field issues that impact budget, quality, or schedule are documented and are forwarded to the project management team.
• Follow guidelines of the Project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program written for the job site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related technical degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
• 20-25 years of relevant experience, with progressive responsibility and technical knowledge both scope and value of project.
• Technical knowledge and experience of relevant construction methods and systems including:
• Utility relocates and slope stability works.
• Full understanding of multiple mission critical platforms.
• Full understanding and working knowledge of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems. General understanding of BMS and EPMS Systems.
• Full understanding and coordination of Utility relocations, underground medium voltage systems, and BIM modeling coordination of ALL utilities both above and below ground.
• Full understanding and managing of all LOTO procedure's and FOD inspections for all systems.
• Ability to research and understand local codes and jurisdictional requirements for the project.
• Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience with successful interface management on Data Center/Mission Critical projects.

The MEP Project Director collaborates closely with internal project teams, design partners, client stakeholders, and subcontractors. This role establishes project-wide MEP strategies, leads early-stage scope development, oversees subcontractor negotiations, and ensures Clayco’s commissioning and turnover processes are executed to the highest standard. Strategic Leadership & Oversight

• Lead the overall MEP project strategy from early conceptual phases through final turnover.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in MEP systems, including field leadership, commissioning, or project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (required).
