Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role located in Berkeley, CA. The IT Associate will Install, maintain and configure hardware and software systems according to company policies. Troubleshoot and repair network, hardware and software components. Perform routine maintenance and inspection of network and server systems. Administer and maintain Google Workspace and other company related software programs as assigned.

• Manage and maintain server hardware, storage solutions, and network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Manage user lifecycle processes, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control.
• Support and secure endpoints across macOS and Windows environments.
• Support processes and systems for asset inventory and management for hardware, software, and subscription services
• Support the onboarding process of new employees to include system setup, adding accounts to the AD infrastructure, and shipping computers and peripherals to employees
• Support IT projects to completion with direction from the Director of Laboratory Information Systems
• Supports issuing new computer hardware and the disposition of end-of-life equipment
• Supports IT requirements through direct employee and guest support for remote and on-site staff
• Perform other related duties as required and identified in goals set by the Director of Laboratory Information Systems or CEO.

    Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration, network administration or related field, ideally within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated competence with Microsoft 365 / Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and MDM solutions
• Familiarity with Google Workspace
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• A+/Network+/Security+ Certification is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary computational lead on drug discovery projects, making AI/ML-derived insights central to critical Go/No-Go decisions rather than supplementary information.
• Establish and implement active learning loops that are realistic for wet-lab execution, statistically sound, and tightly integrated with experimental teams — moving beyond one-way prediction handoffs.
• Translate complex biological and chemical challenges into well-defined computational problems; pinpoint high-impact bottlenecks in the discovery pipeline where AI can meaningfully boost the probability of technical success.
• Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, DMPK/ADME scientists, and biologists to design multi-parameter optimization strategies that incorporate synthetic accessibility, biological relevance, and ADMET considerations.
• Promote a culture that balances technical rigor with practical impact in drug discovery; mentor junior computational scientists on both model development and effective application to real-world project challenges.
• Evaluate and integrate promising external innovations — from academic research to emerging tools and startups — to strengthen internal capabilities.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or related) with a strong emphasis on molecular or life sciences.
• 3+ years of post-PhD industry experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech drug discovery setting, with demonstrated leadership in driving discovery projects and deep familiarity with the full drug project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of medicinal chemistry principles, ADMET/Tox concepts, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic considerations; ability to diagnose why a model may underperform in practice despite good benchmark metrics.
• Expert-level proficiency in modern AI/ML techniques (e.g., deep learning, generative models, graph-based methods, active learning), combined with practical judgment on when simpler approaches outperform complex ones.
• Record of first-author publications in high-impact journals or conferences relevant to computational chemistry, AI for science, or drug discovery.
• Proven track record where computational work directly influenced molecule progression, project strategy, or key decisions in a discovery program.
• Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to convey complex technical ideas and their strategic business value to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

About the School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies

This newly launched school will further position Georgia Tech as an international leader in research, education, and community and industry engagement at the intersection of arts, technology, and design. We are seeking a visionary, creative, and entrepreneurial academic leader who will develop a nationally and internationally recognized center of excellence for studying the intersection of arts practice and emerging technologies.

The chair will have the opportunity to shape a new school that will expand Georgia Tech's academic and research activities and reputation at the intersection of technology and the arts, with the opportunity for substantial impact within Georgia Tech, the state of Georgia, and beyond. minimum job requires are:

• Registered as a Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Colleague must obtain a Medical Imaging License for CT issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) prior to hire date.

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification.

Opportunity Snapshot:

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Associates degree in Drafting or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• General knowledge of 2D CAD software AutoCAD/Microstation/Bluebeam
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
• Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
• Strong in Oil & Gas
• High School diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities:

• Transforms complex rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD)
• Develop computer generated drawings, isometrics, details, plans, schedules, and data sheets
• Prepare dimensional drawings for layouts and non-dimensional drawings such as one lines, etc
• Revises drawings based on instructions from engineers, etc
• Communicate effectively and work with other members of the design team of each individual project assignment. Interface management across disciplines
• Document control support, database administration, and progress reporting
• Coordination and communication of various issues among the company and contractor's engineering team that affect the discipline engineering drawings
• Keep Supervisor informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
• Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor
