Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:

• Welcomes and assists patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Schedules and confirms appointments, optimizing patient and provider time.
• Maintains accurate patient records by filing and retrieving documentation.
• Prepares patients for therapy treatment by assisting with therapy apparel or equipment.
• Provides information to patients by answering questions and alleviating concerns.
• Ensures a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Supports therapy department operations by assisting with equipment preparation, sterilization, and maintenance.

Clinical Technician Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting the patient into physical therapy apparel or apertures.
• Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests; allaying fears.
• Helps treat patients by applying heat packs; paraffin dips; assisting patients into whirlpool; helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; measuring mobility; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
• Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area; positioning equipment for therapist access; positioning patient on equipment.
• Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instruction; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Enhances physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Minimum Requirements:

· 1-2 years of Physical Therapy Office experience a plus

· Excellent Customer Service

Summary:

Organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part, and helps patients reach maximum performance levels. Plans therapy involving physical exercise, massage, heat, water, etc. Utilizes various mechanical and electrical equipment, and prosthetic and orthotic devices. Evaluates, records and reports on patient progress.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for interpreting and carrying out the prescription of the physician per practice act guidelines.
• Responsible for overall direction, utilization, supervision, and instruction of physical therapy assistants;
  support staff;
  volunteers and students utilized in the department
• Assists, by providing input, with performance evaluations of assistants and support staff
• Responsible for protection of confidential data and the safety and welfare of patients and other associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
• Knowledgeable of the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and the Guide to Physical Therapy Practice. Excellent communication skills

Experience

• New graduates accepted;
  experience preferred

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Current license by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Examiners
• CPR (American Heart Association)

Summary:

Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs in a variety of sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities designed to help patients regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to their handicaps. Teaches patient skills and techniques required for participation in activities. Studies and evaluates patient's reactions to the program and prepares progress reports.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the utilization and supervision of volunteers, students, support staff, and assistants relating to the provision of occupational therapy services.
• Responsible for interpretation/implementation of physician orders, provision of safe care to customers, protection of confidential information, professional communication, economic use of time/resources, and creation of a positive work/therapy environment.
• Performs other diverse duties as requested.

Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy;
  Bachelors degree required
• Knowledgeable of the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics and the Guide to Occupational Therapy Practice.
• Excellent communication skills

Experience:

• New graduates accepted;
  experience preferred
