Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Machine Operator based in Buffalo, New York.

Key responsibilities for this position include: Other duties may be assigned.
Summary: Responsible for operation and maintenance of the bulk filler machine system.
1. Perform pre-shift operational inspection to determine condition of filling machine.
2. Sets up filling machine and related equipment for product to be run.
3. Monitors filling machine during line operation to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
4. Troubleshoots and resolve operational /mechanical problems in a timely basis to ensure an efficient, smooth flow of product.
5. Monitors package seal impressions, integrity, and product giveaway.
6. Changes film in a timely manner to fashion to ensure a continuous, efficient flow of product.
7. Perform product changeover(s) as needed.
8. Performs preventative maintenance on a daily/weekly schedule as required.
9. Maintains an open line of communication with production palletizer, and lead person/supervisor.
10. Perform proper sanitation of the filler before introducing the product.
11. Continuously monitors for abnormalities or inconsistencies in the texture, shape, color, odor or foreign material in or on the product.
12. Continuously monitors for proper code date, lot number and operator code product to be packaged.
13. Familiarizes self with all standard operating procedures.
14. Continuously monitors for proper product temperature during filling.
15. Continuously monitors the cup wash, ensures that it is on and working correctly.
16. Continuously monitors the cooling spirals and investigates any problems.
17. Keeps work area neat and clean at all times.

Desired Skillsets:
- At least one year of experience running 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC Machines
- Basic Tool Set up
- Good understanding of G&M Codes
- Ability to read blueprints and highly proficient at dimensioning/tolerancing/speeds and feeds
- Reliability and ability to listen and follow instruction
- Team player and positive, cooperative attitude
- Solution oriented and ability to respectfully communicate with colleagues
- Running of manual CMM is a plus
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $20 - $35 per hour
We are looking for 3rd shift availability. Shift hours are Friday through Sunday 5am to 5pm.
Coordinate between Veritas Steel Production and DOT Inspectors to ensure DOT witnessing of production operations and QC hold points are being completed. Perform visual inspection of material as required. Perform layout checks as needed. Perform rotational capacity tests on bolts prior to use in shop. Work with outside inspectors to resolve quality issues on the floor. Monitor welder qualification tests. Monitor and record welding parameters to insure compliance to approved WPS. Be able to read and understand the Welding code and Specifications. Perform Dimensional checks on lay downs and shop assemblies. Use Total Station as needed. Develop improvements in the quality control process to facilitate flow of work through shop.Primary Responsibilities: How will you accomplish the Objectives?
Perform in a manner that will assure quality work flowing through the shop. Work with welders and leadmen to maintain quality. Be available, by use of a radio, etc. to perform needed checks. Maintain a log of work done, and complete required reports. Interpret the Specifications and applicable Codes. Ability to be flexible to work either early or late within assigned shift as needed. Coordinate inspection of QC hold points between production and DOT Inspectors. Use and encourage safe working habits.
- Must have CWI Certification
- NACE or BCI Certification is desired
- Ability to be conscious of Specifications and Company standards
- Ability to be organized and precise in maintaining a diary and reports
- Must have good people skills in dealing with difficult situations

Competencies/Skills To perform the responsibilities, you must have the ability and skills to: Effectively communicate with the crews, supervisors, and Quality Manager the results of your work, evaluate problems, proposed acceptable corrections, solutions, and schedules. Coordinate your work with shipping department to assure loads have been inspected and ready to ship. Work with supervisors to plan your work and time in each shop to facilitate the flow of quality work through the shop. General working knowledge of Total Station to assist crews as needed and finalize assemblies during off shifts as needed.

Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with resident and family, other inter-disciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to license and unlicensed assistive personnel that are within the job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and the competence level of the delegate. Provides adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
