This role is an integral part of the preconstruction process and plays a key role in ensuring our projects are thoughtfully designed, accurately budgeted, and financially feasible from concept through construction.
We are looking for someone who enjoys collaboration, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to apply their multifamily construction expertise to meaningful, mission-driven work.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for multifamily residential developments at various design stages
- Review drawings and specifications to develop accurate quantity take-offs
- Partner with development, design, and construction teams to align budgets with project goals
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identify value-engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and long-term durability
- Track cost trends, escalation, and market conditions affecting multifamily construction
- Support funding applications, lenders, and internal approvals with clear and accurate cost data
- Assist with change order pricing and cost control as projects move into construction
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of construction estimating experience with a strong focus on multifamily projects (required)
- Hands-on multifamily experience is essential; candidates without this background will not be considered
- Solid understanding of multifamily construction methods, materials, and sequencing
- Experience with affordable housing or publicly funded projects is a plus
- Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of any given project. Additionally, the Project Manager ensures budget and deadlines are met and consistent with project standards.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Create a Schedule of Values for our pay applications and submit to the General Contractor.
- Analyze the construction schedule and create a schedule for submittals, material ordering and estimated field labor durations & project completion.
- Create submittals for doors, frames and hardware from architectural plans and specification.
- Manage and respond to electronic contractual changes (RFI’s, PC’s, Etc.). Quote changes that affect our material and/or labor cost. Distribute Change Order Due letters to the contractor.
- Order materials (Purchase orders) from approved submittals for timely delivery according to the construction schedule or as agreed upon with the contractor for billed and stored material.
- Support the Performance Door project field supervisor for the timely delivery of materials according to the construction schedule. Send field use drawings periodically reflecting updated schedules incorporating project revisions.
- Provide monthly pay application to the accounting department including back up documentation for stored or FSC materials.
- Actively pursue contractual “Change Orders” from “price and proceed” CO Due letters. Take an active role in collecting money.
- Approve weekly vendor invoices for payment. Check vendor costs against our purchase order.

Calcon Constructors, Inc., headquartered in Englewood is celebrating our 45th year as a commercial general contractor in Colorado. Emphasizing a one-team approach, Calcon offers preconstruction, design/build, construction management, and general contracting services. A Project Engineer is charged with the responsibility of providing technical support to the Project Manager and Superintendent on a project to ensure safe projects and desirable outcomes for our Clients and Company. Since nearly all of our work is negotiated with repeat and referral clients we must ensure that our projects are well planned whether they are small or large.
General responsibilities include:
* Act as the primary point of contact with the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to ensure work is completed in conformance with project drawings and specifications.
* Assist with pre-construction tasks.
* Coordinate project documents (RFI's, submittals, drawings, etc...), and monitor timely turn-around on these same items.
* Review submittals making sure they are accurately reviewed and coordinated, & materials are being procured in conformance with the project schedule.
* Identify any missing information from construction documents and work through those differences with project team members (Owners, Calcon, subcontractors, Architects).
* Aid in the preparation of subcontracts / purchase agreements for projects.
* Coordinate subcontractors' work schedules with the project Superintendent.
* Monitor project safety requirements.
* Perform project closeout in conformance with the contract and to the Owners satisfaction.
* Foresee potential problems and organize the team to avoid/resolve issues before they impact the project(s).
* Resolve common project problems to maintain good business relationships and outcomes for Calcon.

Stevens Engineers & Constructors has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer/Piping Drafter to join our Cleveland Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have project engineering and drafting experience in heavy industrial markets such as steel, aerospace, or chemical processing disciplines for the purpose of coordinating all technical activities for assigned projects. The Project Engineer/Piping Drafter role blends technical drafting with project coordination to ensure piping systems are accurately designed, fabricated, and installed. While a Piping Drafter focuses on creating technical drawings, a Project Engineer oversees the technical and management aspects of the project, including schedules and client coordination.
The ideal candidate will also have a client-focused approach and will work well independently and as part of the project team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D piping plans, sections, and isometrics using software like AutoCAD.
Develop and update piping & instrumentation diagrams and line lists.
Build CAD models for equipment and new piping systems based on field measurements.
Prepare, transmit and expedite shop drawings, catalog cuts, samples and other submittals for approval. Maintain logs for all.
Coordinate design activities with the project management team to resolve layout conflicts.
Prepare construction document packages.
Conduct QA/QC reviews of all drawings to ensure technical accuracy and code compliance.
Perform field surveys, including manual dimensions, to gather data on existing site conditions.
Provide technical support to construction personnel and fabricators during installation.
Assist in preparing material takeoffs (MTOs) and bill of material (BOM) estimates for procurement.
Helps track project schedules, budgets, and change orders.
Required Skills
Associates in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. With 3–5+ years in piping design or mechanical construction.
Mastery of AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
Knowledge of SpoolFab Piping Software is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for reporting and documentation.
Strong understanding of industrial piping codes (e.g., ASME, API) and material specifications.
Familiarity with pipe fitting, joining methods, and fabrication processes.
High attention to detail and precision in drafting.
Strong verbal and written communication for collaborating with clients and site teams.
Ability to work in industrial environments, which may include heights or extreme weather
