Starting Apr 13, 2026, this position offers a weekly schedule with on-site shifts Monday through Thursday and on-call coverage for obstetrics and general surgery from Friday to Sunday. The assignment requires the ability to work independently in a rural, high-acuity environment and manage a diverse case mix, including high-risk obstetrics, general surgery, urology, cataracts, and healthy pediatric patients.

  • Friday-Sunday: On-call for OB coverage, occasional general surgery


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia care for high-risk obstetric cases
  • Perform and manage own regional anesthesia blocks
  • Administer anesthesia for general surgery, urology, orthopedic, cataract, and ENT procedures
  • Deliver anesthesia services for healthy pediatric patients, primarily for tonsillectomies and similar ENT cases
  • Prescribe medications and manage perioperative care as required
  • Work independently in a rural setting with high acuity cases
  • Maintain required certifications and adhere to facility protocols


Additional Information

  • Must be able to perform own blocks and obstetric anesthesia

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at HCA Healthcare, you’ll improve the lives of patients by providing individualized care that restores mobility and independence. Supported by well-defined processes, caseloads that let you focus on patients, and a strong partnership with your team and supervising PTs, you’ll deliver high-quality care with confidence and impact. Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
- Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
- Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
- Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
- Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

- (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
- (DL) Driver License
- Associate Degree
