Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Service/Installation technician with Construction Experience, to join our Electronic Systems Division. Our technician position will be responsible for the completion of assigned tasks in our construction projects division as well as our day-to-day service operations. This position will focus on our existing customer base, general contractor base, and electrical contractor base to provide excellent customer service and overall satisfaction. Our goals for this position will be to maintain control of the installation schedules, cost structure of the work, quality of the work performed, and most importantly the satisfaction of our customer base. Provide on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis, as assigned.

Maintains high level of customer satisfaction as demonstrated by the results of customer satisfaction surveys.

• This position reports into the Packaging Engineering group under Combination Product Operations (CPO) in Client Ohio (AOH). The position will support global supply, new product introductions, partnerships/acquisitions and combination products.

• This position utilizes physics, engineering and chemistry principles coupled with advanced and diverse materials science understanding and principles to assist in the evaluation, design, qualification and implementation of packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment and processes.

• A knowledge of common materials utilized in pharmaceutical packaging is key to this role. This role will support Client’s manufacturing network by applying broad knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging operations, equipment, devices, and materials to develop the industry’s best combination product assembly and packaging processes.

• The job will require both planning and technical support of complex projects supporting a new site start-up. This role will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure on-time completion, establish priorities, report project status updates, and manage project dashboards for the Secondary Packaging Engineering team.

Position Brief:

The Chatham Group Advanced Materials and Technologies Recruiting Team is seeking highly qualified candidates for a Packaging Design Engineer for a client in the specialty packaging technology industry. This is a mid-junior level position that requires hands-on experience with rigid thermoformed packaging design concepts with experience in sustainable food grade and/or consumer packaging technology and manufacturing methods. You will work closely with the manufacturing engineering and quality assurance teams to deliver compliant and production ready packaging solutions for new and existing products.

Responsibilities:

• Design food device packaging systems from initial concept through testing and production using CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks
• Focus on Thermoforming technologies to develop portion-separated trays, blister packs, tubs, clamshells, etc
• Use CAD programs to develop 3D models and assemblies as well as 2D drawings for specification
• Evaluate various polymeric materials such as PET, HIPS, PVC, etc for their performance properties such as wall thickness, strength, rigidity, and more
• Create prototype products using new or existing tooling, and/or 3D printing technologies and conduct feasibility reviews for functional integrity, stackability, etc
• Lead the IQ/OQ/PQ product validation process and comply with ISO manufacturing quality standards

Requirements:

• BS in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other highly relevant field
• 3+ years of experience in packaging design preferably in thermoformed food grade or consumer packaging
• High proficiency with CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks
