Under the direction of the supervisor, operate machines, tools, and equipment in the Mill Room to complete orders to the highest quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Machine material to meet part specifications utilizing work instructions and/or patterns.
- Ensures accurate completion of paperwork; verify part quality and quantities.
- Setup and operate a variety of saws, drill press, CNC machines, hand drills and other hand tools.
- May operate forklift if certified.

Manufacturing Yard Planning & Inventory Manager
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Yard Planning & Inventory Manager is responsible for planning, controlling, and optimizing raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory-including steel coils, plates, and pipe products—across yard and storage operations.
This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective material flow, supports uninterrupted production, and improves yard utilization, inventory accuracy, and dispatch readiness in alignment with production schedules, logistics requirements, and customer delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Yard Planning & Layout Management
- Develop and maintain optimized yard layouts for steel coils, plates (LSAW and specialty grades), pipes (HFI / ERW / LSAW), finished goods, and dispatch zones.
- Ensure efficient movement of materials from storage to production with minimal handling and congestion.
- Coordinate stacking, segregation, and accessibility based on grade, size, and production priority.
Inventory Management & Control
- Own inventory accuracy for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Maintain real-time inventory visibility using ERP and WMS systems.
- Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, and variance resolution.
- Ensure FIFO compliance, heat traceability, and proper material identification.
Production & Dispatch Coordination

Position Description:
- The Level 2 TRAFFIC ASSISTANT is responsible for helping to maintain efficient warehouse operations by verifying dock doors, confirming trailer readiness, and coordinating with jockeys to support timely loading.
- The role depends on accurate shift pass-downs, clear communication of load lineups, and close collaboration with the Warehouse Traffic Supervisor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing BOL documentation, reconciling SAP and yard reports, monitoring staging bays, assigning loads, and completing shipment records.
- Peer Relationships: Works closely with Warehouse Inventory, Raw Materials / Ingredients planners, and front-line warehouse hourly employees Verify dock doors and trailer readiness to ensure empties are available for loading and coordinate with the jockey as needed.
- Receive pass-down from previous shift to maintain continuity and smooth shift transitions.
- Review lineup with the next shift’s Traffic Assistant and communicate all required load information.
- Support the Warehouse Traffic Supervisor in getting the shift started efficiently.
- Print, distribute, and sign outgoing BOLs for drivers.
- Match SAP and yard reports with the guard’s yard check for accuracy.
- Monitor staging bays and assign loads to loaders to maintain outbound flow.
- Finalize completed orders including documentation, signed BOLs, and ship history reports.
- Provide pass-down to the next shift to ensure seamless operations.

Job Category: Operations Labor General
Location: Doraville, GA 30360, USA
Job Duties Including, but not limited to:
- Unloading pallets, boxes, and bundles
- Material handling / sorting pushing, pulling, picking, lifting, carrying, and filling up hoppers, boxes, and conveyor belts
- Unpacking boxes using box cutters, separating plastics, zip ties, blister packs, and other packaging materials
- Disassembling small equipment, cutting wires, torqueing pipefittings, removing bolts, automobile parts, and appliance parts.
- Work with recycling equipment for processing metal product e.g. metal shears, band saw and wire strippers
- Direct traffic of yard vehicles traveling through yard
- Light facility maintenance painting, scraping, moving furniture and equipment
- Maintenance selecting and using tools properly, pulling and installing parts for machinery, working with other employees to assist machinery repair
- Housekeeping sweeping, cleaning, shoveling, and debris collection
- Moderate and periodic landscaping work
- Clean up work area at the end of shift
- Keep work areas neat and orderly
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functions
- Organizing materials to have more effective use of space
- Dispose of various waste materials in the appropriate manner
- Inspection to ensure cleanup is completed
- Effective housekeeping in workplace area is an ongoing operation for safety and better hygienic conditions for all team members.
Qualifications
- Employees in this position prior to April 2014 are presumed to be qualified and are \"grandfathered\" into their positions.
- Must pass a medical physical and drug test
- Must pass a background check
- Preferred high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
- Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands
- Willingness to learn how to: sort metal, identify colors, shapes, and weights; properly maintain equipment; properly utilize PPE
