Summary:
The technician assumes the responsibilities for constant electro-cardiographic monitoring with rapid, accurate notification of questionable patterns, and provides accurate documentation of information obtained from the cardiac monitoring equipment. Involves provision of patient care/service to older adolescent, young adult, adult, and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Patient Monitoring.
- Monitors ECG rhythms.
- After receiving report, watches cardiac monitors constantly and reports immediately to the appropriate RN any changes in rhythm or exceeding alarms parameters.

Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman (SOIDC)
Search and Rescue Medical Technician (SMT)
Deep Sea Diving Medical Technician (DMT)
Work Environment
As a Hospital Corpsman, you have the most diverse range of work environments in the Navy. Your job will likely take you all over the world-and far out of your comfort zone. If you choose to go the Hospital Corpsman Advanced Technical Field route, you will work in extreme and sometimes precarious conditions. From deep-sea diving to combat missions to flying in MH-60 Romeo helicopters, you will train outside the realm of conventional military forces to prepare for any mission. You may work independent of a physician or under supervision in this program.
Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes (known as Boot Camp), you'll report for specialized training including:
Hospital Corps "A" School (19 weeks) in San Antonio, Texas for training on basic principles and techniques of patient care and first aid procedures.
After "A" School, HM-ATF candidates track to one of three advanced training paths:
After completing your pipeline, you'll receive your first assignment. You'll go wherever you're needed, which can be anywhere in the world. Automatic promotion opportunities are available but are competitive and based on completion of pipeline.

- Rescue patients and deliver emergency care from the back of a helicopter
- Perform aircrew duties and En Route Care (ERC) for routine illness and emergent patients
- Provide relief and assistance in areas ravaged by catastrophic natural disasters

Areas of training include but are not limited to diving physics, scuba and surface-supplied air diving, recognition and treatment of diving related illnesses.

* Prescription refill management by utilizing the no refill report and contacting the appropriate prescriber to ensure timely refills are completed and dispensed to the consumer
* Medication delivery when needed and appropriate. {Only applicable in states that are allowed.}
* Checks for expiration dates (both on consumer's medications as well as house account products/standing order meds.)
* Ensures that medications are stored properly (refrigerated drugs are kept in the refrigerator, pen-tips are not stored on insulin pens, etc.)
* Checks for discrepancies (dose changes, discontinued medications, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
* National Pharmacy Technician Certification

The Pharmacy Technician Medication Coordinator position at Genoa is an essential role that impacts the lives of an underserved population that needs a voice. This onsite position is a liaison between a partner clinic and a Genoa mental health specialty pharmacy.
Primary responsibilities include building strong relationships with the clinic partners and communicating with consumers to assist them with their medication plan, insurance and the full services of the Genoa pharmacy. A key function will be promoting Genoa services to obtain new consumers and increasing the number of consumers Genoa serves.

The hours for this position are: Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5pm, Closed for Lunch: 12:30pm-1pm
Primary Responsibilities:
* Communicates with all consumers of the mental health center regarding the medication services Genoa provides
* Recruits and enrolls consumers utilizing enrollment forms and copy the consumer's insurance card
