Position Summary:
The Project Superintendent will be responsible for the field planning and management process of the bridge related aspects of construction projects. The Superintendent ensures that the quality of work and materials are upheld and that the schedule is followed as planned as well as enforces and adheres to Company's safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and plan the job with the Project Manager and assist as required.
- Direct oversight responsibility of time sheets for labor and equipment, as well as daily reports complete with quantities worked.
- Develop and maintain client, subcontractor and team member relationships.
- Responsible for maintaining and managing the overall bridge schedule.
- Review, maintain, and monitor crew's productivity and goals daily.
- Review cost reports monthly, initiate field change requests, and prepare vendor or subcontractor back charges with the Project Manager/Project Engineer.
- Enforce quality control and Company safety policies on all aspects of construction.
- Follows the project construction process and schedule to ensure that work is completed on time.
- Review and submit weekly accountability reports.
- Have a clear understanding of pay parameters and specifications by item.
- Provide General Superintendent with a three week look ahead schedule.
- Conduct daily huddles, stretching exercises, and weekly Tool Box Talk with crew.
- Provide Job Hazard Analysis prior to new work activities and review with crew.
- Develop material handling plans with Foremen.
- Identify extra work or change of conditions and report to Project Manager/Project Engineer.
- Ensure that delivery receipts are collected and submitted to field engineers.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Construction preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 8 years of successful and progressive experience in the civil construction field.
- Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of bridge construction.
- OSHA 10 certified.

Position Summary:
The Cost Engineer is responsible maintaining a true and accurate cost structure and coordinating reporting elements key to developing accurate cost reports. This is an interface between project management, cost management and accounting.
Responsibilities:

- Experience working with project management and a thorough knowledge of heavy construction logistics, resource planning, construction sequencing and material management preferred.
- Familiar with a variety of the field construction concepts practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Viewpoint Accounting and Job Costing System is desirable.

Responsibilities:
Carpentry Work:

Responsibilities:

- Complete equipment condition reports, as well as a daily checklist of work to be done on your equipment and provide to the Project Superintendent daily.
- Cleaning the machines regularly. This includes sweeping the cabs and removing trash daily, cleaning the interior weekly, and lubricating doors and windows.
- Understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures. Know where all utilities within the work zone are located. Be responsible for your own safety as well as those working in the area.
- Inform your Superintendent or Foreman daily of your equipment fuel status so the fuel truck can be scheduled if needed for the next morning.
- Make a note on your equipment report and let your Superintendent know if you need any supplies, i.e.: grease, oil, rags, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Read and understand load chart, plan and assist with critical lifts, be able to set up cranes for heavy lifts and be able to control crane movement in response to hand signals and radio commands.
Qualifications:
- Valid crane operator license for the State of Connecticut.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience with pile driving, steel erection and bridge construction.
- Hydraulic and friction crane experience.
- OSHA 10.

The Senior Estimator is responsible for the accurate takeoff and pricing of the work, including all direct and indirect costs for heavy/civil/roadway/marine projects. The Senior Estimator directs all estimators working on the bid, manages the preparation of a pre-bid schedule, and assists with contacting, comparing, and selecting the appropriate subcontractors and vendors, and works closely with the Chief Estimator through bid closeout.

- Ensure that labor rates, bond rates, insurance, and any other job-specific information in HCSS is properly set up and maintained.
- Work with the Chief Estimator and the estimating staff through bid submission.
- Assist with the budget preparation, DBE selection and documentation on successful projects.
- Chair Project Turnover Meetings for new projects.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of HCSS is a prerequisite.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of complex highway, piling, bridge and marine construction experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory estimating position working on projects valued in excess of $50 million.
- Minimum of 2 years of design/build experience with large public heavy/civil projects.

- Develop 3 Week Schedules to plan and coordinate labor, equipment, material, and Survey needs.
- Develop Daily Work Plans to plan and coordinate labor and equipment forces.
- Review man-hour reports on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate labor and equipment needs with General Superintendent – Structures and Construction Dispatcher.
- Review field operations daily basis.
- Attend weekly project planning meetings on assigned projects.
- Attend weekly tool box meetings.
- Interface with salaried and hourly team members to communicate company issues, compliment exemplary work or effort and to address grievances as necessary.
- Attend internal preconstruction meetings.
- Annually review Foremen, and hourly team members for performance.
- Attend and promote daily huddles on a routine basis.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within the construction and concrete industry.
- Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word is a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and the project schedule.
- Strong written, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.

Position Summary:
The Rail Laborer supports Heavy/Civil Construction projects with a focus on rail operations by performing tasks such as site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation. Emphasizing safety, teamwork, and quality, this role ensures efficient and effective contributions to rail-related construction activities in diverse outdoor environments.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.
- Must understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.
- Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
- Excavate by hand ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
- Position, join, align, or seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections or pipes.
- Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.
- Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, etc.
- Complete equipment reports on rack truck, compressors.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of the procedures to use the tools and equipment safely and properly.
- Organize and maintain tool trailers in a neat and orderly fashion.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2-5 years of Heavy/Civil Construction experience.
- Rail experience preferred.
- Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
- Maintain good health status and flexibility to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist.
- Must be able to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
